Here's what aired during tonight's special Yule Toons, part of Cartoon Network's 12 Days of Christmas:

"Bugs Bunny's Christmas Carol"
"Dexter Vs. Santa's Claws" (Dexter's Laboratory)
"Mister and Mistletoe" (Popeye)
"Happy Baboon Holidays" (I Am Weasel)
"The Captain's Christmas" (MGM, Captain and the Kids)
"The Aisle of Mixed-Up Toys" (Johnny Bravo)

Does anyone ever notice how all of the holiday themed cartoons air at any other times of the year, EXCEPT for "Mister and Mistletoe"?

Crap is right!! Why would you mix in JOHNNY BRAVO & I AM WEASEL drek with such fare as "Mister & Mistletoe"?

At least they could have included "Bedtime for Sniffles" or an unedited print of "Gift Wrapped" instead of that treacle!!

Out of this eppy, here are my faves.

"The Aisle of Mixed-Up Toys" (Johnny Bravo) (I always seem to miss TAOMUT for some reason)
"Bugs Bunny's Christmas Carol"
"Dexter Vs. Santa's Claws" (Dexter's Laboratory)

I didn't watch YULE TOONS yesterday, because I was watching a Harveytoons Christmas video with my sister, who I was babysitting. She might be considering to bring this tape in to show to her class! Hmmm, I wonder what the teachers will think when they see the violence in a Herman and Katnip cartoon... :p

They'll probably think:

"Wow, I remember seeing that one when I was her age!!" :D

Yeah, it was a rather interesting mix of cartoons last night. That Johnny Bravo cartoon didn't really have much to do with Christmas, though. I would have rather seen something like "Gift Wrapped" or "One Ham's Family".

Hmm, by a look from your missing Popeye cartoon list, Jon, it looks like "Mister and Mistletoe" was one of them! Good thing ya taped it! :)

I rather like the Christmas themed Cartoon Cartoons. They generally hold up as the best in their series.

Trust me, they don't mind the violence. Once we watched a PD cartoon tape in class with an unedited version of the Bosko cartoon, "Hold Anything" on it.....:bosko:
