OKay, I only got one. For some reason, Gwen Stefani's recent solo stuff always brings to mind Raven from Teen Titans. I sort of imagine Raven stealing off to the bathroom when no ones looking and singing along to "If I were a rich girl," tossing her head and dancing in place. :D
Hmm, well, I guess if I were pushed to name another, I'd say Prince and Seal for Batman. Hey, I'm a sucker for soundtracs!
And I see no reason why we have to confine this to DC heroes. So if this thread gets enough hits, maybe a mod should mirror it over there.

...is this one of those joke threads? It's so hard to tell. Maybe after there are more posts I'll be able to tell...
How many songs are there about Superman? Hm, a few I can think of..."Kryptonite" by Three Doors Down, "It's Not Easy" by Five For Fighting, that Matchbox 20 song about the real world, "Land of Confusion" by Genesis, "Super Powers" by Ookla the Mok (which mentions a ton of other heroes).
Batman's got his soundtracks. R. Kelly's "Gotham City" is probably the worst and least accurate, but you think "Kiss From A Rose" is a good one for him? I'm undecided. I'm still trying to figure out Jewel's "Foolish Games".
I've got tons of songs for tons of different heroes (not just DC, DCAU, whatever), but the one I'll mention now is "Ocean Man" by Ween because it was playing in that commercial around the time I heard about JLU and saw Aquaman in those promo pictures.
XTC
"Thats really super Supergirl, how you stopped the universe from dying, but you're never gonna stop me crying, now I feel like you're trying hard to sweep me like dirt underneath your cape well I might be an ape but I used to feel Super!" Supergirl off Skylarking
"If I could only be tough like him, then I could win my own, small, battle of the sexes. And Sgt Rock is going to help me..." Sgt Rock off of Black Sea
"Brainiac's Daughter, made be a suit of bricks and mortar and a matching stove pipe hat, Brainiac's Daughter, swollowed the pocket watch I bought her and Im crazy for girls like that!" Brainiac Daughter off of Chips from the Chocolate Fireball, as the Dukes of Stratosphere

Wasn't Batman listening to "Wipe Out" like way to many times in a recent comic? Of course that might have something to do with his mind-wipe, but that is just not the kind of song I want associated with Batman. For him I picture some really depressing dark song.
And speaking of Superman, as I am watching the '78 film at the moment, wasn't Christopher Reeves just perfect in that....Routh has a lot to live up to.
Let's see:
Flash - Lunatic Fringe (Red Rider). This was played heavily in the movie Vision Quest, which was about a high school track star, so I associate it with him.
Hawkgirl - Fly Me Courageous (Drivin' and Cryin'). The video featured a winged woman, so...
Huntress - Helena (My Chemical Romance). They both share the same name.
Green Lantern or Capt. Atom - The Trooper (Iron Maiden). The song is about a soldier, which is what these two are.

For some bizarre reason, "Ballroom Blitz" by The Sweet reminds me of Streaky from Krypto The Superdog. "Girl Anachronism" by The Dresden Dolls reminds me of Raven from Teen Titans kinda. I can imagine Hot Dog from Krypto rocking out to Scorpions or Guns N Roses (hence the one avatar I have). No songs remind me of Tusky Husky as of yet.

Two immediately come to mind:
Joker - "People Are Strange," by the Doors. I just get this odd picture in my head of Joker and Harley performing this to a captive Dark Knight. Maybe in the sequel to Batman Begins...
The Question - "The Future" and "Everybody Knows," by Leonard Cohen. You've got to hear it to understand it.

This may sound like an odd choice, and it's definitely going to cost me what little street cred I may have had, but...
Rolf Harris's "Two Little Boys".
There, I said it. It's not rocking, it's not epic, in fact it's slightly cheesy, but for some reason, the spirit of this unappreciated, simplistic and oft ridiculed little gem of a children's song, always makes me think of the similarly pure, and uncomplicated nature of superheroes like Superman and Captain Marvel in particular, who despite the heavy burden of their responsibilities essentially live by the ideals of little boys... When they're written well, anyway.

"Something Better" by Johnny Socko makes me think of superheroes, mostly the Flash.

Someone mentioned it already but Seal's Kiss from a Rose always reminds me of Bats.

Numb- Linkin Park
The Dick/Bruce relationship.Particulary the reasons why Dick adopted the Nightwing persona.
The Unforgiven.-Metallica
I think this does an accurate job of portraying the kinds of things Bruce feels quite regularly.
Sad but True.-Metallica
The Batman/Bruce Wayne relationship,if it put that way. The internal struggle between teh man and the bat.
Boulevard of Broken Dreams-Green Day.
The scene in Crime Alley when Bruce's life turned for the worst.
Hurt-Johnny Cash.
Again...a sort of internal monolgue of Bruce Wayne.
Bring me to Life-Evanescence.
Have you seen the video?!It is so Batmansque with those Gothic buildings, neon billboards and scary clowns!!
Love song for a vampire-Annie Lenox
Whenever I listen to this song, it reminds me of Bruce.About the uncanny resemblence he has with Count Dracula.
Into the Fire-Bruce Springsteen.
Beautiful lyrics that mesh very nicely with the idea of personal sacrifices that is a dominant theme in Batman. Also serves as a nice tribute to the heroism inherent in him.
Hold Me,Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me- U2. An energetic Batman song, from the Batman Forever soundtrack.
Kiss by a Rose- Seal
ALWAYS reminds me of Andi and Bruce!:anime:

Blvd is in Batman Begins I believe.
I always think of Bats with Bring me to Life too. It just fits him way better than Daredevil...nice to know I'm not the only one to think that.:)

"Let Me Go" by 3 Doors Down always reminds me of Batman's tragic relationship with Selina.
"Invisible Man" by Theory of a Dead Man. Makes me think of Bats closing in on some street thug in a dark alley...
Or Destiny's Child's "Soldia." :anime:I'm not familiar with it (maybe that's a good thing) Besides, when I think of superheroes and music, hard rock is a better fit, but that's just me.

louden swain is a wrestler in vision quest, but, since i don't remember the song, maybe it fits flash perfectly.
i'd like to think that grodd gets a kick out of devo, especially "jocko homo."
and, to maintain the intent of the thread, i think that maybe "tame" by the pixies would fit pretty well with black canary--not the lyrics explicitily, but the screaming chorus of just the word tame seems appropriately, well, inappropriate for her.

Maybe, but it's easy to say "Bring Me To Life" can fit in with any dark hero, like Goliath (Gargoyles) or Angel.
Okay, now that I know this isn't a joke, here are the love themes I've sort of given couples over the years:
Batman/Catwoman - "She's Always A Woman To Me" by Billy Joel
Harley Quinn/Joker - "Borderline" by Madonna (moreso it describes Harley, but it could work for their relationship)
Dick Grayson/Barbara Gordon - "Your Wildest Dreams" by The Moody Blues
Superman/Lois - "Time After Time" by Cindy Lauper
Robin/Starfire - "Lucky Star" by Madonna (I sort of had that for Nightwing/Starfire in the comics, but it can work for them on the show).
Green Lantern/Hawkgirl - "You Got It All" by The Jets
And no, I haven't listened to any music after 1992.

If so, that's probably what I was thinking about.
