Kingdom Come

How about a Kingdom Come type story. Say the Future JL decide that they are in a situation they cannot win. They agree that one must go back and help the JL of the past to fix the error. The obvious coice to go would be Flash., since for some reason he can't slow down now, and he can go faster than he ever could before, event to break the time barior. Superman would not be a good choice, because it would be cool for the future Superman to not see the futility of the future situation. He doesn't think flash can succseed, but he lets flash go because Superman knows he can't hold flash back forever..

I think they should make an animated movie of Kingdom Come. That'yd be great. But of course utilize Alex Ross's beautiful artwork. :)

Heres my take--

given the fact that fans clamouring for a Justice League series are a big reason that it happened, perhaps we can do the same for Kingdom Come

Cartoon Network and others have already seen the impressive ratings from JL and I would think that maybe after season 2 they would be willing to make something like this

and i VERY sincerely hope that in the next interview that is done with Timm that someone ASKS him about doing it.

That would be so freaking amazing. They pretty much have all the key Kingdom Come characters introduced into the animated continuity, except for Captain Marvel... but who knows, maybe we'll see him later on in JL.

But what about Batman Beyond? Granted, BB is not necessarily the official future of the animated universe, only a possible one. But if they did do Kingdom Come, would you like to see it incorporated into the continuity or not?

They could either have it take place before Terry becomes Batman, or, possibly, tweak the story a little so BB still exists within the realm of Kingdom Come. For example, what if instead of Bruce controlling those big robots that patrol the city, we substitute Terry McGinnis? He could be woven into the story. What do you think about that idea? I'm not sure if that'd be cool or not, I think it could go either way.

I guess we can leave that up to Timm and co., just as long as they want to make it. :)

And yes, I did check out the Audiobook version of KC, and I loved it... esp. how they did The Flash, he'd run by and you'd hear just a blur of him talking all fast and you can't understand him!

the problem is that KC happens 20-30 years after our continutiy, i understood BB to be around 50 years later

and i dont think theres a good way to put BB in the KC continuity b/c of the stuff Bats had done to himself (the exoskeleton)

BB takes place in 2039 it a dead future. it not going to happen.
kingdom come would be a good animated movie. timm should put this movie on the big screen. :bosko:

I have only started reading it, but Frank Miller's DK2, the sequal to Dark Knight Returns has a good focus on the Justice League,. What I have read so far is interesting. Maybe Bruce Timm could put eliments of KC and DK2 togehter to form one story. This would be messing with things a bit, but here's a way to do the Kingdom Come story and recognize BB at the same time...

Okay, KC would happen after BB in this storyline. Terry is killed as Batman and Wayne is found to be the original Batman, leading to the destruction of Wayne Manor (similar to it's state in KC if I'm remembering correctly) by some super villain, or Magog would make it even more intresting. Bruce is injured but not killed and creates those robots to patrol the streets while he satys deep in the cave. Then in comes KC's story.... how about that?...
