June ASJ - DB Wallpaper: Part Deux!

As an ongoing way of promoting the artist community of the Drawing Board (not that you guys dont do that already... and we thank you it :)), your friendly neighborhood Mods have decided it is time to do something where we can ALL partake.

What did we come up with, you ask? Well...

Since its been a year since the last one, we figured that the June ASJvwill be... Creating a NEW DB forum wallpaper!

You heard right, folks! We will start taking original drawings from you guys and gals starting... oh, NOW, to create a new wallpaper for the forum. Submissions will be cut off Tuesday, June 28 at 8 AM. You can e-mail them to me at outlander00@toonzone.net

What is needed is simple: a Drawing!

In particular, the drawing submitted can be of any character. All we ask is that the character involves something with art and that it is on a white background so we may extract the character easily to use (Hey, you want it to look good, right :D). The more creative the better!

How are we going to fit all the drawings you ask? Well that is the catch: If we do have an over abundance of submissions, the Mods will choose however many we can use for the background based on the specs we need the drawing for and asthetic qualities for the good of the wallpaper. Dont worry... we will figure a way to use ALL the drawings submitted somehow. ;)

We dont want to leave anyone out as much as possible so we will try to use each drawing somewhere within the DB and they will show up on the website eventually as individual pics.

SO! Thats it. All the meanwhile please ask questions, make comments... poke fun at the Mods (lightly of course)... whatever you like.

It can be any character you want as long as it fits those two criteria. :)

The only additional point I'll make is try and bear in mind size... when you design your pic, remember, it may be reduced in size significantly, so it can't be something so complex it's hard to make out if it's reduced to 100 pixels square..

I might enter something myself depending on this next weeks work.. I look forward to seeing how this all goes!

This is probably a stoopid question, but it's very late, and I'm so over tired that I'm finally going to just break down and ask...

I packed all my sketch stuff away, so I can't do anything specifically for this, but I still have some of my old acrylic paintings accessible... the ones I'm thinking of have either super mario characters or Mr Men characters... is this medium and these sort of characters acceptable?

However... I am very curious to see, based on the amount of entries (which is good btw :) ), if we can slip more in to not only to give the wallpaper a bigger, more robust field as well as creating something special for you guys.
