When Green Lanteran blew the bridge Wonder Women not only hovered there but held the prience and flew off. Am I missing something here  Since when amizons can fly? I know I have been out of it for awhile but when can an amizon smash an entier street yet Sups get taken out by what should be some glanceing blows. Did Wonder Women steal some of Supermans power? If so maybe that is why he is talking in such a wimpy Clark Kent voice!

Well, first off, Diana's been able to fly in the comics since 1986 (Post-Crisis). She's always been able to fly in JL, too. Pre-Crisis (1940-1985), she had to use that invisible jet to get around. So, yeah, Diana's always been able to fly.

the diana we've known and loved for over 15 years has always been able to fly...it was a gift from hermes...
and as for her strength...she is very very very strong...and in the comic books, she seems to get stronger every day, which is cool...a lot of people always see her as a second stringer...when she's NOT!

Thanks, I have been out of it for awhile. I guess it is something they don't highlight that often. I had to rewind and scratch my head when I saw this  I guess I am stuck in the invisible jet age and the live action day where flying and breaking up an entier street were not on her resuma :)

Since her strength in the comics has been brought up, did any one see the last issue where she litterally had to beat some sense back into an S-man who looked like he'd been posesed by Doomsday? And the image on the last page. Whoa. If anyone ever needed a real indication of how close these two are....

superman gave wonder woman a royal ***** whipping in that doomsday animorph form...but diana held her own, that's what counts. :)

btw
diana and kal are BEST FRIENDS.

the invisible plane thing was kinda cool IMHO

wonder woman had EXCELLENT powers in KC (and some cool armour too)
the sword somehow better fit the image i have always had of her true nature in my mind

"Wonder Woman, if your invisible jet is invisible . . . how can you find it?"

if you remembe she controled it through telepathy

im sure that gave her an instictive knowledge as to its location, shape, etc

If you think the Invisible Plane is lame, read Alex Ross's Wonder Woman: Spirit of Truth.

Alex is a guy who knows what an Invisble Plane should look like. (not to mention is rendition of Wonder Woman totally rocks) ;)

OK, I'll buy that.

But it's still fun to think of the other Superfriends bonking into it. :bosko:

Which brings up an interesting point. Which is faster: Batplane or Invisible Jet? :D

Invisible Jet, cuz WW could always cheat and take a short cut if it came down to a race (I mean, the jet's invisible; how would anyone know?) :p

Has anyone seen the WW episode of the old Ruby/Spears Superman series from the late 80s. She flew in that one. I never knew she could fly, either, until I saw that about a year ago.

I remember that Superman show. Wasn't that the one that aired on CBS on Saturdays in the 80's?
