Ccf Rules, Cnf Sucks!

I have to vote for CNF. I'll admit I never really watched CCF when it was on, partly because I didn't have an interest in most CCs at the time and preferred action cartoons instead, but CNF was successful in peaking my curiosity, so I had to check it out, and ended up getting hooked - especially once they switched from the generic Nickelodian host style to the quick, random segment based format - sure, a lot of it is corny, but in a good "can't quit watching it" way.

Besides, what little I did see of CCF with the cartoon hosts, it just seemed so poorly done and everything was reused so much that I can't imagine even if I was into the CCs at the time that I would have liked the format (though, admittedly, it does make much more sense to have animated hosts on Cartoon Network).

That being said... I can't stand Tara. I want my Nzinga back!!! :crying:

CCF. Tommy is retarded and Tara is... i'm not even going there. She has a even worse mental illness. :p CCF showed great Cartoon Cartoons, not crap like HHPAMY. Foster's is good, though. :)

Well, since "neither" was an option, I chose CNF...barely. Though I'm not a fan of the hosts, and some of the things they do between shows, other things they do are kinda neat, and it isn't the same stuff over and other. I watch Fridays primarily for the toons.

CCF by far.

Tommy is a scrub.
Nzinga was wooden.
Tara is hideous.
The comedy is humorless.
The cartoons (except for Fosters) are a downgrade.

And someone should train their puppeteers...I mean, the puppets' skull are flopping up and down while they talk for crying out loud! I can do a much better job than them, and I'm not quite old enough to be on payroll yet.

CCF by far!

Tommy has something seriously wrong with him.
Mazinga was boring and couldn't act her way out of a wet paper bag.
Tara is boring and ugly. I mean, really hideous.

That would just be like telling us to stop posting about Dexter, Cow and Chicken, Johnny Bravo, Mike Lu and Og, Courage, Powerpuff Girls, Ed Edd n Eddy, etc. all together.

New Fridays is indefinately better than that old stuff.

I'm going to have to side with CCF here. I'll admit first and foremost that nostalgia is doubtlessly playing its hand here, since it's what I started my Fridays experience with. (Premiere of Mike, Lu, and Og and Courage was actually my first night...)

I have to also say that I liked it better during the transition between no hosts and actual hosts. The old segways would still pop up- annoying though they were (I'm still ready to shoot the astronomer all these years later...), they're better than the generic "this week, on FRIDAYS" commercials)- but only on a rare incident, which made them work better. The hosts, on the other hand, were still a fairly new gimmick.

I think that CCF jumped the shark fully around the new Dexter period. It was nice to have Dexter back, but the hosting was done in the newer animation- something I never adjusted to- and focused too much on jokes that just didn't feel like Dexter, IMO.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD STOP POSTING THREADS ABOUT CCF!Fixed.

I prefer Fridays better, as the same clips and voices aren't being reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused...

... and reused and reused and reused and reused and reused.

But, still, at least you can get the actors (in this case Tommy and Tara) to do something different for every week. The dialogue is almost never the same, and the characters have a little more value. They can be tossed around Cartoon Network, as noted in the Summer Preview. It would've been dull if the Summer Preview was hosted by the Kids Next Door or the animated Puffy; nobody would want that. Tommy and Tara are... well, versatile.

Not really since I think Matt is in general sick of the "WHAT DO YOU LIKE BETTER? CNF OR CCF?" Poll that seems to always get posted every couple of months. I admitt it is rather annoying.

Yeah they can be used in many situations. Hosting Fridays, hanging on the boardwalk, fighting a war.... I don't where that last one came from actually.
Although I will say that if the preview hosted by a Cartoon character it would be even more biased then it was already (Notice how only the CNF shows got the specific mention at the end of the preview and Toonami and Miguzi was just listed in groups by them).

I have to agree that CNF is better. I mean I like the CCF themesong more then the CNF one but that's it really. Otherwise just give me Tommy and Nz... Tara anyday over them.

None of the cartoons that hosted CCF had a bit part in an Arrested Development episode. Tommy had a bit part in Season 1.

CNF gets the edge, though I prefer Nzinga.

You guys are comparing the CCF shows vs. the CNF Shows. Yes, CCF pretty much had the better shows, but the real question of this war is the packaging. CNF is fresh and new each week. CCF was fresh once a year.

I think I like the original one better. It had Johnny Bravo and Courage The Cowardly Dog. I don't like the rat and cockroach puppets at all in the new one. But the new one DOES show a new episode of Krypto on Fridays...........Each has it's own ups and downs..............

You can actually feel Christmas when CNF presents a Christmastime presentation, but CCF just had those snowdots and red/green strips.

CNF crew may have new schtick every week, but it sure the heck isn't good. I have 3 younger kids and none of them laugh at the antics. They just want to see the new cartoons. My daughter misses the older shows. She doesn't understand why PPG, Courage and Dexter only come on once or twice a week in the middle of the night where she can't watch them. I myself don't care about the filler of CNF or CCF, I just like to see some of the classics mixed in with the new stuff every week.

CNF has had some funny moments in the past... like Long Haul saying "I don't have a brain, it's just some guy's hand." or something along those lines. And the word of the day things have been funny.
But when compared to having someone walk in on you when you're waiting for a cartoon to start and they see CNF, it makes you wish CCF was back on.

I voted CCF.

I really, really like CCF better. I say leave the live-action hosts who couldn't act if their lives depended on it for Nick. Or maybe they should have the voice-actors host the shows on Fridays, so people can see for themselves the people who do the voices of their favorite characters, and showing the same episode of a cartoon twice in one night, they could add shows like Dexter's Lab and Johnny Bravo again. That would be awesome. I think that on CCF, the voice-actors did a great job of hosting, but they'd do just as good if you could actually see them, if CN insists on bringing non-animated people to the channel.

Oh, yeah, let's blow $$$ to get Tom Kenny on stage. How about Grey DeLisle? More $$$ to blow. But, hey, we can get them to do their Mayor and Yumi voices! And, for next week, we can have Tara Strong and Khary Payton on stage as Raven and Cyborg! What joy! And after that, let's get Steve Blum on stage! A lot of $$$, but a lot of otaku ratings!

But, still, this is a good idea. Have the voice actors talk about their shows on air, isn't too bad. Have the VAs on stage for no reason, frowns all around. But, who cares? A VA is a VA is a VA.

That's a nice option, as well. Just bring in a nice presentation that can host the program (do things like tell you what's next) alone, without voices or anything else, just background music. I could come up with a few sleek designs (if only I had Photoshop).
