In this one we get another mode of FTL travel, this time powered by bad news, resulting in a ships that are never welcome when they arrive.

I loved the telepathic alien giving Arthur the the impression that he knew everything that was going on and thus hope he may get answers and tea, but it just turns out he is repeating whats on Arthurs mind.

Also they mention Arthur is still in his dressing gown. Apparently this is what Arthur considers appropriate attire for wondering around the universe.

Lots of zen like sayings in this one:
Right planet. Wrong universe.
Something that in happing causes itself to happen will happen again, but not necessarily in chronological order.

The whole sort of cosmic mish-mash thing gives this series a sense that the universe is quickly falling apart thanks to time travel and improbability drive. Other then a few prophets becoming redundant to time traveling journalist, no one seems to be getting too worked up about things yet.

It's not really clear whether Arthur arrives on Now-what/Persephone/Rupert in a universe where Earth exist or not.

Also, I guess he's lucky he never disappeared from traveling in hyperspace. He should stick to bistro's.

Love the return of Zaphod and can't wait to see how things work out in meeting Zarniwoop. I was a little confused by the flash backs though. I can't remember if in the radio series he had The Heart Of Gold when he picked up Trillian, also he had two heads then apparently.
Free-owww!

Not at all crazy about the American Trillian voice.

Oh, and I loved the bit where anything that relies on logic can be deceived by anything capable of being just as logical, and how Ford puts that to use to corrupt the minds of robots.

What do you know, almost time for the next fit.
