April 5th! I know there are a bunch of people looking forward to this movie. Cinescape reported this and here is the article...

"Tim Allen has been talking about his coming BIG TROUBLE, which was yanked out of its original 2001 release date after the events of September 11.

While talking to Chicago Sun-Times columnist, Cindy Pearlman, Allen addressed if the film had any terrorist elements, saying, "The subject matter has nothing to do with terrorism. It is about a nuclear bomb, but no one has any idea of what the thing is. This nuke gets lost and everyone in the film just knows there's this heavy, shiny thing that must be worth something. No one wants to hurt anyone."

When asked if the film was cut, Allen answers, "It won't be changed. In fact, the film is now coming out in April and when people see it they will say, 'What were we waiting for? This is just a movie about greedy, stupid people.'"

Allemn also admits that he was initially surprised when Disney pulled the Touchstone movie. He says, "You're talking about a studio with a ton of dough in a movie. I have a lot of respect for Disney because they did pull it. I guess they thought the film was questionable after 9-11. But again, I just saw the film again and it's fine. It's more like GET SHORTY than a scary movie about a bomb."

BIG TROUBLE finally opens on April 5th."

A little ways away, but it should be worth it.

I was wondering where that went to! I like Tim Allen's movies for the most part, and I remember reading about this way back when Cinescape had their fall/winter movie previews. Then I saw commericals for this new Tim Allen movie....but I didn't think that was it. Glad to get an update on this!

April! While that's a long wait, I'm glad to see it won't get killed in the doldrums of February...

I like Tim Allen, and I like Dave Barry (who wrote this). I can't wait to see it!
