Okay, I just set up an eBay account about two or three weeks back...
... and I've already have gotten a Virtual Boy, Sega Saturn, Genesis Model 1 and 2 (and just sold the Model 2, since I already had one), bunches of games for all of this... and am currently winning an NES and a Power Glove...
Dear goodness... you can find great stuff, but damn if it's not addictive.

Bah I can just go 5 minutes away and get buttloads of PSX/DC/Genesis/NES/SNES/PS2/GC games...
if I didn't blow my money on other things...like other games.
I personaly don't use E-bay, mainly because I don't have the patience to put up with sellers who may be boarderline bad.

Usually I don't buy games there. Mostly consoles or other merchandise that is game related such as posters or displays if I can catch an outstanding deal before anyone else. Anime Cels on the other hand keep me going back to eBay. My collection grows by the week.

I've bought a few games from eBay. I don't have any real good used game stores around me, so eBay's good for some of the harder to find stuff. I usually stick to the corporate/full time sellers who have like 20,000+ positive feedbacks and set a "buy it now" price.
I haven't found it to be addicting, though. There are a number of great games that I've missed out on over the years, but I don't have a big desire to seek out every single one of them.

I agree. I'm waiting on HEAVY BARREL for my NES. I also like getting old WCW master tapes of stuff that won't make it to DVD.

I set up an account and some day if all else fails Valkyrie Profile will be obtained there.

It's seriously addicting for me as well. Half the games I have for PSone, I bought from there, and even a few for PlayStation 2.
Most of the anime I have now came from there also, although I have been tricked once, when I bought Gundress. *shrugs*
Most of the deals are just too good to pass a lot of the time, though.

eBay's definitely a good way to get games, especially (and obviously) older and harder to find ones. My way of limiting myself is to buy only with what I earn from selling, unless I get some money as a gift.
My prize eBay purchase? Gitaroo-Man still in shrink wrap for $50. Worth every penny, especially now that I hear it's going for up to $70.

I have gotten a Dreamcast and six DC games off Ebay, plus plenty of Gamecube games. It can get pretty intense at times, but I love using it, if only I had more money to spend...

I'm officially cutting myself off, as I have both models of the Sega Master System and another NES up here...

I use Half.com. It's owned by Ebay. It's nice because it's easy to find new games there and you don't have to bid on what you want to buy. I got my SNES, and 7 games for it.

As far as I know from surfing the site, all you can use there is credit. Could I be wrong? If so, I can't find a money order link or anything.
That's a shame to because whatever I can't find on ebay is always conveniently on half.

I always use my credit card on that site. I've never seen a money order form on the site, but I haven't ever looked for one.

Being the anal retentive type, I typically keep all original packaging for all my games. So last summer, when I sold all my N64 carts (with manuals, promotional inserts, and original boxes) in some cases I got more than what I paid for them new back in the day :D
In my case, I seem to be more compelled to sell than to buy. I promised myself to never put any money into any ebay purchases, so anything I purchase off ebay is paid for by the proceeds of what I sold on ebay. In other words, once my paypal account runs dry, no more ebay purchases.
So, over the past year I've sold off my entire Magic : The Gathering card collection and used the money to purchase components to build a new PC, which I finally recently completed to my satisfaction.
It's satisfying to know that my brand new state of the art PC was essentially paid for by recouping disposable income I blew ten years ago when I was still a teenager.

Only gaming related thing I ever got off Ebay was a RadioShack TV Scoreboard Pong Console. Very fun little device. :)

I had to force myself not to buy a JVC X-Eye system, complete with Sonic CD... at a good price.
