Bugs & Daffy:
"Now That Summer Is Gone"
"Bugs and Thugs"
"Bugsy and Mugsy"
"The Great Piggy Bank Robbery"
"Sniffles and the Bookworm" - no opening WB titles
"Porky the Fireman" - computer colorized, edited(?)

Tom & Jerry:
Theme: Dogs
"The Dog House"
"Puttin' On the Dog"
"Fit To Be Tied"
"Much Ado About Mousing"
"The Truce Hurts" - edited
"Barbeque Brawl"

There was a crime theme through most of the Bugs & Daffy Show today. "Porky's Double Trouble" would probably have been a better way to end the show.

Does anybody know if there really is a blackface gag in PORKY THE FIREMAN after the man who jumps out the window falls through some smoke? I don't think Jon knows either, since he put a question mark after edited. I heard a rumor that there was, but I have yet to see evidence.

Yeah, I am still uncertain if "Porky the Fireman" is edited or not. I have heard stories that say "yes" and "no". Nobody seems to have an original film print of that one. Other cartoons I am uncertain of them being edited or not: "The Phantom Ship" and "Hobby Horse-Laffs" (both as seen on Nickelodeon).

There is also "Chaser On the Rocks". But I honestly believe that the whole "coyote getting shot into the sun" ending doesn't exist and is just an error in the LT&MM book.

I saw "Porky the Fireman" this morning (so that's how they do it; run it one day then re-run it the next morning) and I am sure that the blackface gag (with that guy falling through the smoke) was cut. I'm sure that the scene of the obnoxious, slow-walking fireman going to see the fat lady was cut for time.

Overall, a pretty so-so cartoon with some good moments. Best bit:

Old man: "Don't worry about me. Go save Grandpa."
That always cracks me up.

Any reason why the scene with the Flying Leroys was cut (for time?) on Nickelodeon?
