I have a question. Right now on the market are all four of the Batman live action movies on DVD. These DVDs are basically bare-bones DVDs, with just production notes etc. What I want to know is, are they ever going to release a "Collector's Edition" or a "Criterion Collection" or whatever? I've held off on buying these DVD's in wait that they will be re-released in decent form, but after losing my VHS copies... What's the story?
Also, will they ever release this Director's Cut of Batman Forever? I read on Amazon.com that they were going to release a director's cut... Is this true?

It would be a crime not to. Just the scene with the giant bat and Bruce would be worth it. And the intro sequence, with Arhkam...

Yes, special editions of these movies will come out in a nice box set like they did to the Superman movies. I believe it will be closer to the time the next movie gets released, tho, so there's no telling when we will see them!

Can you give me a link to that little mention? And WB is considering releasing both BATMAN and BATMAN RETURNS as special editions, depending on the availability of Tim Burton. But with a new Batman movie slowly in the works, I bet we may see these movies re-released on DVD.
If you can find the current DVDs for dirt cheap - go ahead and pick them up! If not, then...well...wait I suppose.
