Killtacular

YES! An episode that DOESN'T disappoint! I thought those things didn't exist anymore at CN, but thankfully they DO!
PLOT SUMMARY
Everyone in the office gets the flu, so the Narrator hangs out in the theater with Sign-Reading Guy and they watch a silent film starring Sheep and General Specific's grandfathers. Lisa Rental and Oxymoron fill in the rest.
POSITIVES
Where to start?
The episode is a definite throwback to Leon Shleisinger's Merry Melodies and various UPA toons. Mo LOVES UPA toons, and it is entirely evident in this episode. Various old-school cartoon staples like dancing cows in button pants, horrible splicing, and run-down audio, run rampant throughout the entire episode.
Speaking on the music, it's amazing! It fully recaptures the kind of music found in shorts like Steamboat Willie. At times, the mallet instruments sound straight out of Gene Deitsch's work.
And don't forget "Secret Military Organization BABIES!" I've been waiting ages and ages to make fun of the stupidity of age regression shows(Yo Yogi, Tom and Jerry Kids, Pup Named Scooby Doo), and FINALLY someone does it, and does it right!
Another old-school comment. Anyone who's a fan of vintage animation should watch this episode. Pretty much every classic conflict is explored, from General getting water from the fountain(and failing repeatedly) to Sheep stealing General's hat repeatedly.
And anyone familiar with the first season's "backstage crew" jabs will enjoy a small scene where a storm blows everyone away, including the director, cameramen and grips.
NEGATIVES
Lisa Rental's song was the slowest part. Nothing wrong with wanting to become a bereaucrat though. Also, some of the sound effects were rather modern compared to the vintage music, which made for a jarring imbalance. Oh well.
GRADE: A
The funniest Cartoon Cartoon so far this year, and with more Sheep episodes on the way, I'm sure it won't be the only one.
