The Aquaman short resulting in a show, or maybe JL vs. Superfriends on Harvey Birdman has been discussed, but why not just go all the way and do something new with the Superfriends? Space Ghost was the first to be re-invented with his talk show format, which is HILARIOUS, then there's the Brak Show spinning off into a Leave it to Beaver sort of thing, also HILARIOUS, and Im definetly not the only one who loves Harvey Birdman, so why not the Superfriends next? Im thinking the best thing would be a Laugh-In style variety show with a host or something, then all the characters can be used. Or maybe just a corny Scooby Doo format, "Superfriend Mysteries" with Wonderdog.

I dunno. Mabey because of The JL Show.

I mean they would be completely different, but I like the Idea.

But then again i'm guessing it'd be just another Sealab, unless of course they have the Super Friends do a News Show.

I can see it now, Super Friends News or SFN..With Your hosts Super Man and WonderWoman. Aqua Man with the weather and they could have fake political reports and spoofs and it'd be awesome !

I now demad that they use my idea.

Superfriends as a news crew? That's a pretty good idea, I'd watch it, and I'm sure others on the board would too.

Heh, Batman doing stocks. :D

I don't know about that. I mean, with "Justice League" on Cartoon Network already, it may seem weird having a show like "SGC2C" featuring Superfriends. The same can be said for the new Aquaman comedy show in development. Not that I think it won't be funny, but I just don't think it's such a good idea.

Before Boomerang, the old Space Ghost cartoons aired on Cartoon Network while it was airing Space Ghost Coast to Coast. I think a retro Superfriends redone wouldn't clash with the new JL series, especially if the redone Superfriends series was part of Adult Swim.

I'd love to see any kind of Adult Swim Superfriends show. The news crew thing would be hilarious. I'd be happy with that or just a show that made fun of the Superfriends by throwing them in the Hall of Justice and fighting the Legion of Doom with Wendy, Marvin, Wonderdog, the Wonder Twins, and Gleek.

Yeah thats what I was thinking of, but it'd be animated so things would be limitless. Not to mention it'd use SF Characters so it'd be even better.

Man, i wish their was a way I could pitch this idea, to execs.

Yeah a news show would be awesome too! I think there are a lot of cool retro formats left for these retro shows. Laugh-in or news would be cool with me, im sure there are others. Like a Partridge Family/Josie and the Pussycats superfriends as a band. Actually that might fail cuz it might be TOO much. yeah I think the idea of a news show is the best. It'll be interesting to see how the Aquaman show is done though, maybe cameo's and stuff can happen.

Yeah, that'll be nice to see how they pull it off. It'd be cool if he met his future self, too. This thing ahs almost endless possiblities. I really need to find out how to get my foot in the door as far as developing show. I've got hella ideas. And I have a good head for what i know people will watch and won't. However developing a hit for Adult Swim would be way too easy.

Hey Nass, what part of Chicago are you in and what HS do you attend. I don't see too many fellow Chicagoans on boards that often.

I actually live a little outside of Chicago, in Elgin. I go to EHS.

I think that they should do a variety show for at least a half hour spot. (implementing all of the Hanna-Barbara cartoons..)
I mean they already tapped Mightor for Harvey Birdman...
Just like you guys said, could you imagine a 1/2 hour to an hour of all of these 'toons doing a SNL\Laugh In type thing?
It would ROCK!
Those guys for those shows that they have now are some of the Best voice actors in the biz...
