Original Title: Intersecting Hearts - Aoyama-kun is Targeted

(continuing from episode 12) Ichigo whirls around to see Aoyama, who seems to have recognized her in Mew form! Ichigo feebly remarks that she's just a Mew Mew and flees. All through the next day Ichigo, though fearful Aoyama-kun knows the truth about her, resolves to try and pretend nothing has happened (but ends up getting spotted by Aoyama while doing all her cat antics: running around with fish, catnapping, playing with butterflies, etc...). The catgirl is even gloomy at work, and Aoyama finds himself wondering why Ichigo has been avoiding him. Kisshu, meanwhile, while contemplating the idiocy of the destructive humans, is also thinking about Ichigo: why she is protecting such creatures and why she is falling for a "mere human". He, of course, sets up another plot, this time to tear Aoyama apart in front of Ichigo. The following day Ichigo once again runs away in a panic from Aoyama, who has finally spotted her. Can Ichigo protect him from Kisshu and still maintain her secret? And who are these two new aliens?

Name changes for this episode:

Pai (Pie) ---> Sardon

Normally episode 12 would be here, but since 4Kids aired that as the premiere/pilot it's been skipped and 13 is here instead. This episode was normally part two of 12, with Ichigo worrying about Aoyama and the cherry tree incident. 4Kids of course changed that episode so that Mark already knows Zoey's identity and in this episode she's fussing over her TV appearance from 11. *shrug* I'm not sure how dub-12 fits into this, unless it just doesn't exist in MMP world besides acting as an audience magnet...*Twilight Zone music* o.o; Anyway, there are lots of references and flashbacks from 12, which will most likely be changed/cut or whatever. Aoyama and Kisshu are also pretty cool in this ep, and thus Mark and Dren, being the worst-casted males on the show, will probably be stupid as usual. Oh yeah, and the other two aliens appear; Taruto and Pai, yay! Or rather Tarb (brat backwards; sounds like a caveman name 0_o) and Sardon (short for sardonic). For the voices for these two I'm betting Taruto will get a stereotypical scratchy kid voice like Ash or Chris or Luffy or something, and Pai will be Yami Yugi. In fact, I'll be surprised if he's not. "Mew Mews! It's time to DUEL!" Pai doesn't actually speak in this episode though, it's all Taruto, but I bet 4Kids will stick in a line or so for him anyway.

"Mew Mews! It's time to DUEL!" Pai doesn't actually speak in this episode though, it's all Taruto, but I bet 4Kids will stick in a line or so for him anyway.Dan Green for Sardon? No thank you. His Yami voice hasn't worked for anyone other than Knuckles and pretty much every one of his Shaman King roles. (And Yami obviously) 4Kids' theory on using Yami's voice for 20+ characters due to Yu-Gi-Oh's major popularity streak is just plain overkill. But then again, what do I know? I've only seen pics of Dren and Tarb. And yes, Tarb DOES seem like the type to get Suzanne Goldish as a VA. I always picture him sounding like Lyserg.

EDIT: Tarb = Weevil Underwood? Ugh, damn you 4Kids. You chose the WORST Yu-Gi-Oh voice overall for him!

You can criticize all you want haters, but Zoey fighting alone = no animal instinct songs = no lame togetherness transformations = score of 5/5! :D

- Someone needs to tell Dren in good guy-bad guy relationships, they're only successful if it's the good guy initiating it! So, nuts to you, Dren, Zoey's sticking by her man!
- So, is that the cover-up 4Kids is using after blowing it in the pilot episode? (Granted, they didn't make any reference to the dub pilot.) Mark not knowing (though thinking Mew Strawberry does look like Zoey)?
- Zoey's solo music during transformation, a seemingly new (or I've just forgotten it) piece during the final attack sequence that was killer!

After watching again, I happened to catch notice that Tarb not only sounds like Weevil but Gary Oak too. More a reason for me to curse 4Kids. They used the worst for him.

stupid move skipping episode 12 but i give this ep overall a 5/5. it had emotion. Zoey transforms! and fights on her own! WEEeeeee!
why don't the other Mews know about it? shouldn't they all be magically or whatever- connected? i guess its more of a manga thing.

since i couldn't get online this morning, i can't remember certain lines.

i...actually liked Marks voice in this ep. seemed way more soft and caring.

they are over doing it with the "freak" thing. but i guess thats about as close as they can get to how someone would discribe themselves as strange in Japanese.

hmm wonder why Dren didn't get all worried about Mew Zo this time...i mean those things were sucking the life out of her.

I was going WTF when I saw that. But you're right, it's kinky and Kawaii at the same time. I hope I'm not growing a lolicon fetish because that would be very bad. Very bad.:sweat::ack::o

Anyway, it's a cute scene, and probably one of the sweeter things in the original manga. A little warped/double entredre-ish? Maybe, but I'm not really gonna read that much into a anime/manga meant for 5-year-old girls (it ran in Nakayosi, not Dengeki Daioh, so I'm reasonably sure of the motivations.) The intent struck me as more to show that Mark/Aoyama is developing some feelings for Zoey/Ichigo. Considering that the original thrust of the work was a lot more openly romantic (not in a sexual way, in an awkward crush adorable way,) it fits. It reads a bit flatter after 4kids has had their way with it, but that goes for pretty much everything they touch, IMHO.

Still, the line in the manga was "You're my favorite all time kitty," there is an element that's either awkward or creepy, and Aoyama, just doesn't strike me as creepy, just a little inept. Besides, I think Ichigo was cool was with it.

Ack, now, I've got my 3 volumes of TMM manga out, and I'm reminded how I should pick up the last 4 volumes... darn stupid cute manga with delightfully over-the-top saccarine shoujo romance and visually engaging artwork and paneling... :anime:

yea i no wut u mean by the cherry tree one that has to b confusing i mean corse 4kids wants to explan everything and wants them to b together and all and next week there playing it but still i had to c it lik 20 times b4 understading the whole story (i tape them due to oversleepness) but still they need to just make it less confusing and theres a lot taken outa tmm that makes the story understandable:sad:

Your last post was barely readable.

I'm not the best with English either, but I try to make my post readable. I trick I learned is Ctrl+c is copy and Ctrl+v is paste. You copy your post and paste in a WP program and do a spell and grammar check. Then you copy and paste back in your post.

P.S, I checked your profile and I know you're only 15 and probably type in code to hide from your parents what you are writing over the internet. But, please write in regular English.

I nice cute/awww episode. I'm kinda surprised that alot of the girls at Zoey's school didn't react to the fact that Mark went looking for her. But other than that it had a good fight, lots of humor and my favorite anime staple: the failing henchman getting assigned help from his boss.:evil: :D

I thought Tart’s English name was Tard until I read it on these forums. Guess I heard it wrong :sweat: Wasn't there some new music during Ichigo's transformation sequence? I'm hoping they don't add lyrics to it if they use it again.
