Paul Storrie recently updated fans on the Batman, Superman, & Beyond forum on this site about the upcoming Gotham Girls comic he will be writing. Jennifer Graves will be artist for the five issue mini-series. He also told fans how the book got greenlighted.

"I'm really hoping that Renee Montoya's issue is as popular with fans as it is with me. It's great to have a chance to put a little of my own stamp on a character who hasn't seen as much screen time as the rest." Storrie said.

"As for how/why DC would greenlight Gotham Girls right now, all I can say is that there has been an overwhelmingly positive response from all the fine folks at DC. We're all excited about the project and I guess they're hoping that carries over to the fanbase. Like you, I'm hoping that the cross-promotional possibilites between the webisodes and the book add up to more readers for us and more viewers for them!"

Storrie said he wants the mini-series to be a somewhat animated version of the upcoming Gotham Central, when approaching the Renee Montoya character.

"I'm working on the Renee Montoya issue right now and I've got to say it's a blast. Hopefully the readers will agree. (Expect an "animated series" approach to what Rucka and Brubaker are talking about with their cool new Gotham Central book, at least for Renee's issue in the spotlight.) Renee Montoya's issue doesn't wrap the series. Batgirl's does. That said, I think that you'll enjoy the Montoya issue just as much as the rest. I know I'm having an even better time writing it." Storrie said.
