For the Pokémon fans in the UK with Toonami, Pokémon Chronicles is here, premiering in less then ten hours as of this post.



At long last, the Crystal Special and the Hoso side episodes has made its way out of Japan.


Time: Wednesdays at 7:00 AM(except May 11) 4:30 PM, and 7:00 PM

Fridays at 4:00 PM and 6:30 PM

Saturday and Sundays at 10:30 AM, 4:00 PM

I'm happy that Toonami has at long last a "World Exclusive", you don't see that very often on Kids/Cartoon channels in the UK any more. Nice to here it.


However, I have lost interest in the Pokemon series ever since 2003, I mean how many series are they going to make for the francise? One too many? And what if at the end of all of this, Ash dosen't make it to the top?

I'm not saying I hate the Pokemon francise (in fact, I really like it) but it's just that on the TV series, it's not working anymore. Besides, if I was interested, I don't have Toonami anymore so there.

How many series are they going to make? You mean all two of them are too much? A change in name doesn't mean it's a new series, 4kids just likes changing the name every season, it's still all one show. There's been a grand total of 2 pokemon series so far, it'll not like they're making endless spinoffs to prolongue the franchise.

Since you stopped watching in 2003 I assume you haven't seen any of the Advance episodes, this is where the show has gotten really good.

I really liked those side episodes, the only ones I didn't care for were the ones that didn't really have much to do with anything (Great Meowth Detective, but still, it was cute)

Well this was pretty good. Like the fact that there seems to be Team Rocket members that arent incompetent buffons :anime:

Jimmy (one of the good guys in this 3 parter) appears to be the trainer from the Gold/Silver games.

Finshed on a cliff hanger :) For the record, that trainer is "Gold". And I agree a compentent face on TR is somthing I'd never thought I'd see.

The presentation of the episode however (Some of which is 4-kids' fault, some not) was a bit iffy. I realy didn't like the Letterbox effect for example and the opening theme was complete ass (the fact that there's no Logo for POkemon Chronicales realy dissapointed me).

And teh new 4-kids logo is Ass^2, it looks Horrid >_<

I think seeing the Colliseum universe in animated form is all that I need to respark my interest. Provided the writing is good and we don't see any Team Rocket wannabe's for the main character. The Orre story just seemed sloppy and pretty silly to me, I'd rather it not get a series.

While this is a Pokemon thread, I have got a Worl Exclusive report from Japan on the next Pokemon movies (I hope I don't get in trouble for this, this is safer than making a thread about it at least) here we go...

Pikachu the Movie have started production on their first-ever 3D animated movie. Not CGI, but 3D Glasses-3D. A ground-breaking production in itself, it has previously been done in the IMAX 3D classic, "Cyberworld 3D" (2000). But what makes it so revolutionary, is because it is tipped for a release in multiplex cinemas with ordinary 3D glasses up for sale. More on the film as it happens.

This year however, Mew makes his third apperance in this year's movie. Pikachu the Movie have been generous this year with this movie, as they raise some of the movie's funds on the "Sumatran open sea earthquake" (does that mean "Asian Tsunami Earthquake Appeal"?), bless 'em. There is a Pokemon message board that I used to go to. I got an E-mail saying I've been inactive, so I decided to go back for some mature Pokemon discussion. (It always was a pretty mature board) Then I saw... it.

A 4 page long topic complaining about how one of the (arguably homosexual) male Team Rocket members in the Raikou special was turned into a girl. :shrug:

So the moral of this story:
None, but I thought I'd mention it incase anyone in the US didn't know. I don't want another 4-page long thread when it airs in America. (I know that there are some members who will begin an anti-4Kids rant because of this. I will not name names.)

What was the point of the sex change?It's because there were two male Team Rocket members who were (according to some people) a homosexual couple. 4Kids was probably just playing it safe. (But then again they tend to do a pretty good job of hiding homosexuality. From my understanding, Duke from Yu-gi-oh was homosexual in the original version. I'd have never guessed)
