He looks very effeminate to me, but then again it could be the eyeliner.

That is pretty creepy for some reason. The eyes...they look...dead. I've seen the mummies of all these Egyptian Royals and let me tell you, it is not a pretty sight. RamsesII who is supposedly the Pharoah that Moses battled with is no more than barely 5 feet tall. And he apparently had red hair. There were a few strands of them on his black chin...oh and those tiny spider like black fingers spread across his skeletal chest...

The sight still gives me nightmares!

He's....ugly. And he looks like an old classmate of mine with no hair.

Looks like Boy George with a small head.

Weird, he doesn't look like what you would expect a famous king (pharoh, whatever) to look like.

But at the same time, the fact that they came up with that is pretty cool.

Looks like Boy George with a small head.Do you really want to hurt him? Do you really want to make him cry? :D

But yeah, royality doesn't seem to equal prettiness in this case.

Man, this is kind of...embarassing. Far be it for me to judge a book by its cover, but if that girly man was my king, I'd just have to kick his butt and overthrow him.

"far be it for me to judge a book by it's cover... but that's exactly what I'll do anyway." that's what you sound like. he would probably destroy you in an instant because you automatically underestimate the "girly man." and all the other comments similar to that one are also stupid. his looks have nothing to do with his intelligence, strength, masculinity, or ability to rule.

also, TRY to fit it in your head that ancient Egypt did not have the same values, morals, or social norms that modern (Western) societies have.

Well, he was only a teenager...Yes. And you gotta admit not many of us have our own kingdoms to look after even during much later ages.

Give the guy a break. It's a guess artistic rendering of a bald man with eye make up and no clothes. It's tough to look manly given those circumstances.

Yes. And you gotta admit not many of us have our own kingdoms to look after even during much later ages. Yes, but like all aristocracies, he was born into it. It had nothing to do with (to quote cross blues) "intelligence, strength, masculinity, or ability to rule."

He could have been a complete idiot. That wouldn't stop him from succeeding the throne.

Oh wow, he looks so much like his parents. I can definitely see Nefertiti in there, especially around the eyes and cheekbones. Ankhenaten is also most definitely present. It's always amazing when art and technology mate. Wow.

BTW, I quite like eyeliner, on both sexes. I'm not Goth, Punk, Ska, or Emo or anything, it's just a matter of personal aesthetic. It sharpens the look of the eyes dramatically and draws you inward, and eyes should demand attention, they are afterall, the window to the soul. Cliche, but no less true. I'm just drawn to people's eyes, and like looking at them and into them (with or without liner). *shrugs* Maybe it's a girl thing.

I also like how it harkens back to antiquity. I use powder to line my eyes, it's a softer look than pencil, and I never could get the hang of liquid, it's so unforgiving. Powder just feels more feminine, and isn't difficult at all once you get the hang of it. I like to take a dark colour, and feather it up into a lighter shade. A bit dramatic, perhaps, but I have very Mediterranean features, so I can pull it off.;)

Okay we know what he might have looked like, but what about his death? Was he a klutz or did a "Perseus" happen to him?
[Note: Perseus in Greek mythology. Perseus was prophesized to kill him grandfather, so his grandfather sent him and his mom away. When Perseus was an adult,a javelin he threw accedentally killed his grandfather.
This has been your brief history lesson for the day.]
