I great to see Lupin III back. I hopefully hope that CN will air the new eps sometime in the future.
It might have been the recent Funi releases of the TV specials that spark interest. (I'm looking forward to see Lupin back in his normal self with Farwell to Nostradomus and Crisis in Tokyo, I'm skipping the serious ones.)
Welcome back gang! And you too, Pops! (Zenigata)

Yes, well, it's been pretty well established that between wanting ratings, which certainly will become no better in a graveyeard, and apparent reluctance on the part of Geneon, there won't be any new Lupin III episodes for Adult Swim.

I wouldn't get your hopes up yet. I doubt they have plans to air new eps if they put the show on in the middle of the night.

The problem with that is miscommunication. Kim Manning said that Lupin's ratings during its last run, at 1:30 (for repeats of repeats of repeats, no less), were an average of 255,000. She said that Geneon has not offered adult swim any new episodes of Lupin, but if Geneon did, they would be seriously considered. Geneon said they offered episodes, but adult swim didn't want them.
Perhaps now that adult swim has Samurai Champloo from Geneon, the little miscommunication would be cleared up.

It's cute how people think that it's a miscommunication, and not one the parties lying.

You know I only found out the other day that this was a series <.< I always believed it was a bunch of 3 movies. Castle of Cagliostro, Goodbye Miss Liberty and Secret of someone or another.... I haven't seen them since I was like, 12 and they were on the Sci Fi channel X_x He wasn't called Lupin in those dubs either. Anyhooo, anyone know a Paypal friendly site where I can get Goodbye Miss Liberty? >.>
That one was probably "Secret of Mamo".
The BEST Lupin III movie, IMO, is "Dead Or Alive". It was directed by Lupin's creator Monkey Punch and has more modern looking character designs, as well as great voice acting by the Funimation cast.

I'm guesing you are (or were) in the UK. Your best bet is ebay.co.uk, I've seen tapes of "Secret of Mamo" (UK dub, 1996) go on sale there frequently, so I would bet you'll stumble across the "Goodbye Lady Liberty"* UK dub also.
For onlookers, he was called "Wolf" in all three dubs, in some they even stretched it to the awkward "Wolf the Third."
There is a much larger selection of Lupin material Stateside than in Europe: the UK got those three VHS releases from Manga UK, two of which had their own, unique English dubs ("Mamo" '96 and "Liberty"), and have since gotten the 2000 dub of "Cagliostro" and a UK release of the domestic "Secret of Twilight Gemini" and "Pursuit of Harimao's Treasure" FUNimation DVDs. If you are in the States currently, you may find it easier to wait it out on ebay.com. Some buyers have sold NTSC conversions of the "Goodbye Lady Liberty" and "Mamo" PAL releases. Although, I am no longer a frequenter of eBay for Lupin goods, and it has been years since I have seen such sales....
That's my best advice.
