S.P.D. Emergency!
Power Rangers Space Patrol Delta "Wired" WORLD PREMIERE
The B-Squad SPD Power Rangers have had a trip defending the Earth in the absence of the A-Squad. Teammates not getting along, a malfunctioning canine cannon, incompetent aides... but they've managed to save the day. Now aided by their Commander, six Power Rangers defend New Tech City from Emperor Gruumm!
This arc, on Power Rangers SPD!
An ancient evil is about to be unleashed on the earth once again. Problem is, nothing's ever been able to contain or control it. The technology to do so lies in the SPD Mobile Command Center.
Wait, MOBILE Command Center?
S.P.D. Ranger Facts 101-
Ultrazords have been becoming more and more rare. Recent Zord combinations haven't been called Ultrazord, despite being very similar in makeup to the older ones.
At least we're not getting the horror that were the "Robot Chicken"-esque Ninja and Thunder Ultrazords from Season 3.
Random Ranger Video-
Go look in my sig. What if Power Rangers DinoThunder was just another season of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers?

Yes, it's a wee bit early, but given Free Comic Book Day tomorrow, I figured I'd error on the side of caution.

This episode was way up from last week's, which was a little better the second time I saw it, probably because I wasn't let down by high expectations from the evil. Baskin and the evil storyline was interesting, but they just underplayed it.
But anyway, this week. It's off to a good start with Gruumm and Mora. The two parters this season seem to be the best, because they actually move the plot forward. We're obviously going to advance the situation between the two main villains, and the Delta Command modifications is cool.
Having the Rangers train D-Squad was neat too. I'm glad to see them doing something besides patroling for once. I'm curious though, because when Bridge said Sophie would advance to C-Squad in no time, what happens to the members that are already on the team? So I guess A and B-Squads are the only ones who get Ranger powers.
I liked how they gave Valco origins and showed him on his home planet. Although, I really don't care about the Gorridon thing. The cyborg plot is somewhat interesting, but there seems to be something about the girl I don't like with her voice. Her and Bridge have a nice story going though. Overall, a nice episode. I liked seeing Delta Command in action. I can't wait to see the Delta Command Megazord formed.
A couple minor gripes. Cruger sits around while everyone is fighting again. Although, at least he pushed the transformation sequence along and was there to defend it. Since most of the big problems were giant issues, I'll let it slide it for now. After next week, he won't have much of an excuse to not get involved in the Zord battles anymore.

So, Sophie. Is she gonna be another one-shot like Sam and Dru, or will we see our 7th Ranger? I say after part 2, she'll go the way of Sam and Dru (assuming their appearances were one-shots like I think they were) and we'll never see her again.

If I remember correctly, her Deka-part never showed up again. And her Deka-part was a full-on android, not a cyborg.
I doubt she'd be SPD Gold, but who knows...

We're not even half-way through the series yet.

It's hard to believe, though, that we're a third through it.
By the by, I just ordered a Special Edition MMPR Megazord...
I do hope we'll see Sophie again in the series.
Is it just me, or did Kruger simply rock in this episode?
The Delta Command Megazord reminds me of the Max Solarzord from Lightspeed Rescue. Though the Launch Tube Fingers were kinda unneccessary (especially the shot of the Rangers literally running up the tube).
And I think this confirms that Boom is our next Ranger. Who knows, he may actually get some screen time next week!

Great episodes! Funny seeing the Rangers running up the finger tubes. The ending with Grumm and Morganna was kinda a "Huh??"
Next week:
Least Boom stayed inside the lines coloring his uniform...

You know, I actually forgot that he could morph. Then, he goes out to help Sophie.
You do know that the Orange Ranger costume is fake, do you not? Even if Boom does become a ranger later on (a REAL ranger at that), I don't see how that confirms that Boom does become a ranger for sure.

Nice episode, but yes, welcome to the absurdity that is the Mobile Command Megazord.
Also of note... at the beginning of the transformation, look where Shadow's desk rotates. That was the Dekaranger command center. I was wondering how they'd deal with that part of the transformation.
If you look at the preveiw for "Boom", there are actually TWO Orange Ranger suits. One looks relatively real, and has a Space Ranger-based helmet. The other looks, well, stitched, and has a bicycle helmet. Both have "0" as the number, humorously enough.

Someone at Rangerboard pointed out that when he's wearing what seems to be a genuine ranger suit, it's probably a dream he's having, or he's just thinking of what it would be like to be a real ranger.

Yep, I'm guessing that's what they'll go with. Who knows, Boom's authentic ranger suit may come near the end of the episode, and Boom does become the permanent Orange Ranger. (Making him only the second American original ranger, behind, of course, Lightspeed Rescue's Titanium Ranger.) But, I think they're going with the dream at the beginning of the episode.
Perhaps the Orange Ranger will replace the Gold Ranger as the 10th Ranger (or, in this case, the 7th Ranger).
But if it does happen, he can't be 0, since the Shadow Ranger's number is 00.

Actually, if you look closely at the Shadow Ranger, you will see he is 100, not 00, hence why he destroyed 100 robots when he debuted.

So we have Rangers 0-5 and 100. Omega is 6, I believe. Gold would be 9. Swan's somewhere inbetween.

This episode was good for the most part. The Sophie fight against Valco was pretty cool. We got some great scenes outside the Delta Base once again, and it was cool to see Cruger finally is useful this week and it was good to see the Shadow Ranger in action again. I liked seeing him morphed in the Delta Base. The Delta Command transformation was nicely done from the inside out. The Delta Command Megazord is just awesome. I love the cockpit as well.
The ending was cool, with Mora becoming Morgana. Now this leaves us with the question of why did Mora want to be a kid so bad in the first place? She acted like being turned back into an adult was the end of the world. Anyway, I look forward to seeing this plot unfold.
My only real problem with this whole thing was that I felt Sophie had too much focus. Bridge had the most focus out of all the Rangers, but I really feel that the main focus shouldn't have been on the guest star, seeing as after this week, I doubt we'll ever see her again.
The preview for next week looks like it could be interesting.. But why is Bruce using Abaranger plots now? Don't get me wrong, we could use some diversity.. But it's just annoying that they won't come up with their own episode ideas. I know they can.
I guess one thing that really bothered me by looking at it is that Bruce refused to check out previous PR seasons, but he found the time to check out past Sentai? What the heck is wrong with this picture?

We have three possibly FOUR Rangers coming up. Break/Omega is going to be a male of course. But the last two(and the possible Dekagold) are all female! We have Sophie, Kat and Morgana running around without Ranger forms:sweat:
Dekaranger has a short stint Ranger towards the end of the series. Her name is DekaBright and she`s a female counterpart of Dekabrake. You all can peg me on this, when I say that she`s going to be Sophie or DC`s wife. But as always thats just me.

I'm sorry, but the Delta Megazord looked like it was running up to his daddy that ep:
Delta: Daddy Daddy! That big old monster was beating up on me :p
The Delta Command megazord is big and powerfull, but suffers from Built-like-a-brick syndrome
