Catwoman is awesome, but in a chick fight, who would win? Catwoman or Poison Ivy? My money is on Poison Ivy!

Catwoman would soooo kick Poison Ivy's ass... I mean, without her plant things, Ivy has nothing (okay, she's hot, but I mean fighting-wise).

Ok, Poison Ivy can control all the plants and even conjure up new creatures made out of vegetation that walk and can do her will. All Catwoman does is gymnastics and maybe has some neat toys on her from time to time like Batman's utility belt. Poison Ivy would so have the uppper hand in any conflict.

Catwoman in a cerebral fight; Poison Ivy in a fight of muscle. I know Pamela Isley was a scientist, but she doesn't strike me as expecially resourceful or crafty outside of her expertise on horticulture and toxins. Whereas Selina Kyle is a street girl who knows all the angles.

i will admit that the animated series made selina look considerably weaker than she is in the mainstream, but still , she was the more experienced, skilled, and Bat-worthy of ANY gotham girl, including Roxy, Talia, Calender Girl, and whoeevr else wants to fight my BABY!!!!!!!

If you're talking about simply a chick fight, then I agree that Poison Ivy quickly wins.

But Catwoman's a lot like Batman: very smart, very cool-headed, and she thinks strategically. If we're not talking about a chance encounter, but the the outcome of a long-running duel, I would tend to give the edge to Catwoman.

Catwoman is like little miss martial arts. Remember in Cat and the Claw part 1 where CW and Batman were fighting and he like BARELY dodged most of the attacks, and then she like kicked the garbage cans on him?? WELL, GO WATCH YOUR TAPE OF THAT AND TELL ME CATWOMAN WOULDN'T BEAT THE LIVING CRAP OUTTA IVY!!!

Also, if you need any more convincing go watch Batgirl Returns, You Scratch my Back, or even Catwalk, and THEN think about weather Selina would win or not.

All Ivy ever did that even slightly resembled good fighting was kick some Joker goons (who quickly recovered by the way) and slap Scareface. Oh, and she did do that girly little knee to Croc in Almost Got 'Im which was totally unrealistic and meant for laughs, considering how much trouble Batman has taking down Croc.

Catwoman beat Ivy in the comics, and I think she can do it here in the animated universe. Catwoman thingks with her minds and can easily outmanuveur any of Ivy's vines. And if not, Catty can whip out her bullwhip and strangle Ivy, forcing her to drop the plants. Catwoman has got it down. Catwoman thinks ahead abit, like Batman, so she could easily be able to defeat Ivy. All Ivy can do it through vines at her. Well, Catwoman can claw and whip her way through them.

like I was sayin, if Batman can slice thru Ivy's plants with his lil batarangs (which he always does) than Catwoman can slice thru them w/ her whip and claws.

Catwoman always travels alone, b/c she doesnt NEED any little hanch ppl like a certain someone does. and u cant count Batman ADV # 12 b/c it was ruled out of comtinuity on account of Batgirl getting a different origin ep on BTAS (re: shadow of the bat).

Okay people- Let's assume Poison Ivy CANNOT summon plants. Selina has no whip or claws. Straight woman on woman... How can you say Catwoman wouldn't be all over Poison Ivy? Has anyone even seen Poison Ivy fight? All she does is summon plants... I mean Catwoman can flip around and can fight- she's the only villainess to give Batman a run for his money in a fight; I just think it's insulting to say Poison Ivy would have a chance.

this is a no brainer... catwoman would kick ivy's butt. i mean, come on, catwoman is a trained fighter and opperates on the streets and rooftops. she is very smart and resourcefull as well.

but, i think alot of people here are underestimating ivy, saying that w/out her vines she's nothing. arent you forgetting the moves she pulled out in "trial" and especially in "harley and ivy" where she takes out both of jokers goons at once w/ a wild martial arts kick. what are their names, carlo and ???

Catwoman has a suit, and unless Ivy is gonna kiss her, Catwoman is safe. She's covered head to toe in her suit. Ivy has to touch skin to poison someone, so Catty is safe. Besides, Ivy has the vine for distance attacks. Catwoman is still tops.

Ivy's weakness is that her success depends on her location. If she's in a factory freezer, she can't use her powers. Heck, if she's in a basement, it's not like she can will the earth to rip apart the floor and swallow Catwoman. If she had that kind of power, she'd have trashed the city by now. Catwoman can kick butt any time, day or night, and anywhere! She wins, no question!

Catwoman would never be foolish enough to leave any home court advantage she has. Catwoman would make sure she stayed in the city and not some park. Catwoman is very curring and very smart so it would be no problem for her to outsmart Poison Ivy.

Anybody who read Batman: The Long Halloween knows that Catwoman kicked Ivy's ass, in BRUCE's house! The only reason Ivy got away was because Bruce clothes-lined her with his freakin' hand, and practically decapitated her. But that aside, Catty wins hands down. :D

Plainly, there are circumstances where Poison Ivy would easily win. Plainly, there are circumstances where Catwoman would easily win. And it says nothing against either of these great ladies to note that fact.

We're trying to determine which would win on more or less "neutral" ground. Since there seems to be some debate about what constitutes truly "neutral" ground there probably isn't going to be a definitive resolution to the question. But that's no reason to start throwing things at each other.
