With consumer demand for THE DARK KNIGHT STRIKES AGAIN #1 continuing unabated, Diamond UK reports that the issue is temporarily out of stock at its Warrington distribution center.
To replenish the supply of copies in the UK, DC Comics and Diamond Comic Distributors have arranged for the transfer of additional copies of DK2 #1 from STAR/TRU in Sparta. These copies should be available in the UK by next Thursday, December 13. In the meantime, UK retailers are encouraged to continue placing backorders for the issue.
"We thought we had heavily stocked Diamond UK for potential reorders," noted Bob Wayne, DC's VP - Sales & Marketing.
"The response in the UK, as in other parts of the world, is astounding."
"We've been doing very good business on this issue," reports Dave Hopkins of Nostalgia & Comics in Birgminham. "We've seen a lot of people come in just to buy it, and they're also asking us to make sure they can get all three issues. It's taken me a bit by surprise, and I'm probably going to need some more by Monday or Tuesday."
DC also encourages retailers serviced from Diamond's US distribution centers to check their inventory and place reorders as soon as possible, while supplies of DK2 #1 last, and also to consider increasing their orders on DK2 #2.
