The End of the Beginning
The end of the Teen Titans is as of now, as is all other known superheroes. The world is now towards an end. Earth is no longer the planet of life, and filled with its usual abundant water. Now there are only machines that cling on to the Earth’s atmosphere, and the few humans that survived the End is now holding onto dear life as they try to hold onto their past and live on what is now called mission parts of the machines. Although life is hard, they still hold onto what is most treasured, their memories of earth. But even that is waning, as years past; those memories are but distant strands of hope. Hope that people are losing every second of their life. Now, all of humanity has only but one thing on their mind, survival. Sadly, survival isn’t something that is fair, but is something that you can continue to live for another day. Whether it’s the strong against the weak, or the weak’s wit against the stupidity of the strong. Or even strength in numbers against the single minded intelligence of a kid, its all about survival.
Chapter One:
Earth as of now is nothing, but machines hanging in the Earth’s atmosphere. The once beautiful blue waters of the earth is now sulfuric acid, that can destroy just about anything it touches, may it be metal or life. The once green life that filled the lands is now nothing but more acid. During the End that lasted three years was an abrupt start. Many died in the evacuation. Everyone took to either a rocket or a spaceship, but many lost their lives in either somewhere during the evacuation process, or in the helping of the evacuation process.
“Everyone!!” a masked teen yelled, his usual ruffled haired even more ruffled than usual, his colorful suit, full of wrinkles and discord. “Get in a rocket or spaceship!! Children first!!” he yelled, as the people of Jump City scrambled on the vehicles, as acid melted the streets and buildings. Everyone disregarding everyone else, and pushing their way through, as the Titans merely tried to save the few that was overpowered, mainly children.
“Do you people not know of the children!” Starfire yelled, as she saved a little five year old from getting trampled over, but even after saving him, the boy said nothing as his mother merely grabbed him and ran to the nearest shuttle, shoving and pushing along the way.
“This is no use!” Raven yelled, as she saved a disregard girl, who she was now cradling in her arms, unconscious, as she hovered above, looking at her, Raven pitied her, and placed her herself in a space shuttle.
“Yeah!” Cyborg yelled back. “Will you people stop pushing!”
“Dude!” Beastboy said, as he changed from his leopard form. “Some guy just shoved me, and stepped on me!!”
“Dammit!” Robin said, as he watch people just running past him to the stations.
“Robin!” a voice suddenly said, in his communicator.
“Batman!” Robin said, quickly getting it out as the others came towards him.
“You and the others must get out of here,” Batman said. “There is nothing we can do! You must get to safety.”
“What!” Robin yelled back. “We can’t just leave the civilians.”
“We have no choice,” another voice said.
“Whoa!” Beastboy said, as he stared at Robin. “You know Superman!!”
“What do you mean?” Robin asked back, ignoring Beastboy.
“There is just too many civilians,” Superman answered.
“There just not enough of us, and the acid is now overrunning our cities. There is nothing that we can do,” Batman sighed, with regret. “Now go!”
“But- “
“No,” Batman said, turning off the transmission, ending the conversation.
“Hah, I guess that’s it,” Cyborg said. “I’ll get the rocket, and we’ll leave.”
“Yes,” Starfire said. “There is nothing that we can do Friend Robin. We are, at the moment, helpless.”
“Come on,” Beastboy said, as he tried to comfort Robin and coax him towards the T Tower.
“If we leave, I suggest that we do it now,” Raven said, emotionless as usual, her eyes showing the merest of comfort.
“Looks like we won’t have to move,” Cyborg suddenly said, as he pushed some buttons on his arm. “I set the rocket to fly to us, look.” He said, proudly, although not at his usual perkiness at his new technology.
As the rocket flew over and landed properly, several citizens saw it as they ran. They saw as the Titans got in, and immediately seeing that its also a chance at living, they ran for it. They three the shocked and surprised Titans out, and sat in.
“Hey!” Cyborg yelled, as he never even got to set foot into the rocket, and had to punch a citizen to get in.
“Get off of me dude!!” Beastboy yelled, as he got thrown to the floor, and immediately turned into a gorilla to punch his attacker. Whereas Robin whacked someone with his staff, but the more that got beat down, two more just seem to replace them. Meanwhile, the two girls took out other attackers that came a bit further away that ran towards the vehicle.
“This isn’t working either!!” Raven yelled, and she immediately made a barrier as soon as she saw that the boys had beaten the attackers back somewhat. The barrier covered herself, Star, Robin, Beastboy, and Cyborg. “Get into the rocket you three!!”
“No way!!” Robin yelled back. “We’re not leaving without you!!”
“No Friend Robin!” Starfire said, as she beat against the people that tried to bang against the barrier with her star bolts. “Leave! We can leave without the use of your transportation!”
“But – “ Robin was about to argue.
“GO!” Raven yelled, as she used her powers to push Robin into his seat, whereas her glare was enough to send Cyborg and Beastboy in without further disputes.
As their space ship took flight, the girls also flew up towards the sky, leaving the people behind. When they got near the atmosphere, Raven immediately made a barrier around herself so that she may breathe. When they got into space, what astounded them was that several rockets and space shuttles that had already flew up, about half was destroyed. Somehow, asteroids from no where was everywhere, and it was a task indeed to steer clear of them. All of the space ships were for themselves, ignoring the fate of others, discord was everywhere.
As the space shuttle and the girls tried to dodge the asteroids, one nearly hit the shuttle, luckily, the girls used their powers and crushed the asteroid. However, the small rocks hit the shuttle, causing minimal damage, and rocked the ship, destabilizing it. Before they knew it, the space shuttle went faster and faster, and in the next moment, a black hole appeared. Not being able to stop, the ship blasted straight into it.
“Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!” the three yelled, however, there was a sudden pull backward, and the three looked back to see the girls doing their all to pull them back. Starfire, holding onto the ship, and Raven pulling it back with her magic.
“Ugh!!” Raven said, as she used all her strength.
“We will not let go friends, do not fear!!” Starfire yelled, pulling it back inch by inch.
However, in the end, they did not let go, but instead got pull into the black hole as well. As the black hole spun around and around, the five lost conscience. Seeing only dark, and nothing of the others.
