When Did WB start using the MODERNized 7 arts logo?
you know the one that looks like pick up sticks and the stylized
(if you can call that style!!) WB 7-arts.

I recently aquired a 16mm copy of porky's hero agency and want to restore it with the proper opening. and I'll save that opening for a cartoon more deserving of it (but I can't think of any! :>) )
nothing deserves that logo! (IMHO)

The modernized WB logo, which was in most cases pink-purple on a black background with a "pinwheel" intro, began to appear regularly in 1964, possibly the only really evil thing Chuck Jones has ever done. It was an experiment that someone liked and it stayed on after Jones left the studio. the WB/7 Arts logo, which was an update to this idea, had a blue background, ugly music and a yellow "W/7" design, this was for the later Bill Hendricks/Herb Klynn cartoons and began, I believe, in the 1968 season. There were some earlier Hendricks toons from 1978 that used the black/pinky- purple color scheme, but with the later logo.
