posting pictures

Okay, despite the fact that I've been here for about 3 years or so I've never really had any reason to post a picture. I know that I can insert a picture from the web by clicking the insert image button but that seems to make the images too big, is there any way to shrink it down? Of course, I could save the picture and shrink it down in photoshop, but I can't figure out how to post a picture from my hard drive. The faq was kind of confusing, I got the impression that some users were allowed to post pictures from their hard drives and others weren't. Is it only mods who are able to post pictures from their hard drives or something?

The easiest way for me.

1. Copy the Picture

2. Open Paint.

3. Make the Canvas as small as possible [like 1x1]

4. Paste the picture [it should fit exactly by shrinking the canvas earlier]

5. Resize

6. Copy it again

7. Open a new document.

8. Resize Canvas if needed

9. Paste and Save

10. Upload to Imageshack.us

And yes, we're the only ones who can post attachments.
