He's supposed to be of some strange Eastern European culture that doesn't actually exist.

I'm pretty sure it's a combination of the strangest parts of many European cultures all rolled up into one which never really existed.

He sounds more German than any other nationality.

See the episode "Wish you Were Ed".

Rolf is funny. He's one of the best characters on Ed Edd and Eddy.

Think he used to live in a farm like in the middle of the U.S. with a funny accent.

He still does live on a farm. He mentions a few times how he came from the old country across the sea.

I've always thought German, seeing as he came over the sea, he lives on a farm, and his father was a shepperd. Also because of his accent.

From that one ep where they made a fake version of Rolf's home country, I'm guessing Scandinavian. There's also an outside chance of him being Polish.

I'm Polish. I would know if Rolf was Polish. He is not.

Also because of his accent. His accent is nothing like a German accent (okay, maybe not nothing, but it isn't German). Though it could explain his hobby of making sausages...

But yeah, he's a mix of various European cultures. It's like Robin from the Teen Titans, you can't match it with just one culture... or name... whatever, I thought it was a good analogy.

I really don't know. All I know is that he is one strange character! But come to think of it,he kind of reminds me of Swaroop.
