OK, I was watching "Pray Anything" in syndication tonight and I noticed a reference that I hadn't gotten before. Now this isn't something stupid like, "I didn't realize that was a 2001 parody!", but something that only people in California and Arizona would get.
There's a series of commercials for the law offices of Larry H. Parker, and they all have this really menacing guy with glasses commanding to the camera, "We'll FIGHT for you!", followed by the disclaimer: "Se habla espanol". Here's a link to their website: http://www.fightforyou.com/
Now why do I say this? Because the lawyer who helps Homer sue the church looks almost EXACTLY like him (curly black hair and same build), and uses the same slogan (complete with "Se habla espanol"). It was hilarious, because I have a feeling the writers snuck in that reference that most of America wouldn't get, but I GOT IT. Anyone else seen these sets of commercials?
