About a year ago Cartoon Network launched a little block called miguzi with what appeared to be an attempt to attract more girls to the network. One year later Have they succeeded or was it a total flop? Did miguzi meet the mark?

At first they where doing an ok job however more recently it would seem they a trying to imitate old Toonami in every way. So my opinion would have to be that it has not meet the mark as they just went toonami with a different name.

From a business standpoint, it appears to be doing very, very well.

There was already a thread for Miguzi's one year evaluation.

Also it's always tried to emulate Toonami's programming. Toonami's majority of programming is 6-11 targetted. Not to mention it is healthy cross promotion between blocks. So no duh. It's the packaging that needed a change, really. I'm sure if they put Totally Spies on Toonami people would vomit in their mouth.

Hey, I was looking forward to JBV's "Transmission" being used for Totally Spies!' Toonami airing. The song fit the show in every way capable. 'Twas similar to the other compositions JBV made for shows like Sailor Moon. Well, just Sailor Moon.

Miguzi was okay if you take TS out of the picture. Totally Spies is number one on the list of things that make you brain dead.

Not quite. Miguzi will reach its full potiental in year two. I mean it expanded to the weekends a couple of months ago and season two of Code Lyoko will start in the fall. However, I feel that Totally Atomic and Miguzi should expand. I mean look they are the same in delivering good helpings of cartoons. I also feel that they should change the schedule around. Some of the cartoons aren't really fitting for Miguzi. Anyways what ever happened to the new schedule topic with Winx Club in it? Was it false or did it get deleted?

Anyways what ever happened to the new schedule topic with Winx Club in it? Was it false or did it get deleted?I believe that only non-USA Cartoon Network channels will be showing Winx Club. The USA rights for Winx Club are held by 4Kids TV, which is showing it on the Fox broadcast channel on Saturday mornings.

I believe that only non-USA Cartoon Network channels will be showing Winx Club. The USA rights for Winx Club are held by 4Kids TV, which is showing it on the Fox broadcast channel on Saturday mornings.Although the 4KidsTV programs are slowly trickling onto CN in the US (Turtles one year ago, One Piece yesterday), I think it will be and should be awhile before Winx makes its way to CN. 4KidsTV is doubling up the episodes... it just finished its first repeat run this week... and they're starting with Eps 1 & 2 again this coming weekend. We don't even know when Season 2 is going to debut, so Season 1 could very well get another 3-month, full repeat run. That's borderline repeat overkill.

In that sense, I don't think Winx should make the jump to CN until after the end of this year. Not until there are more episodes to air. There's probably other shows 4KidsTV wants to ship over to the Miguzi block first, though... Sonic X, for example.

Not until there are more episodes to air.By taking an educated guess, I think given that they've just only started showing Season 2 of Winx Club on RAI Due in Italy, 4Kids TV won't have the Season 2 English-language episodes ready until the new Saturday morning cartoon block on Fox starts in September. That is unless 4Kids got the Season 2 originals from Rainbow Srl much earlier and could start showing this as early as June 2005! :)

I also think that given the success of Winx Club on Fox, the Fox network might not allow 4Kids to transfer the show to Cartoon Network anytime soon.
