Following are the top 10 movies at the North American box office for the June 1-3 weekend, according to studio estimates collected on Sunday by Reuters. Final data will be issued on Monday.

1 (1) Pearl Harbor ......................... $30.0 million

2 (2) Shrek ................................ $28.4 million

3 (+) The Animal ........................... $19.8 million

4(22) Moulin Rouge ......................... $14.2 million

5 (+) What's The Worst That Could Happen? .. $13.3 million

6 (3) The Mummy Returns .................... $ 7.5 million

7 (4) A Knight's Tale ...................... $ 3.4 million

8 (6) Bridget Jones's Diary ................ $ 2.1 million

9 (5) Angel Eyes ........................... $ 1.9 million

10 (8) Memento .............................. $ 1.1 million

Why is The Animal number three? Horrible movie! At least Shrek is still kicking butt.

Dick, I think you answered your own question about Animal. HORRIBLE movie often means a bigger piece of the pie at the box office!

Glad that isn't the case with SHREK! The best movie of the summer so far! I am thrilled beyond words to see it is still holding the #2 position! And being up against a suppposed box office guarantee "success" like Pearl Harbor, I think Shrek is holding its own quite well.

yeah i have not seen it but it looks really stupid i think rob sneider is really funny but he does not do well when he is the primary charecter in movies:)

Yeah, The Animal doesn't look very....fulfilling, although somewhat funny. I'm glad it made a good amount of money though, because I'm a huge Rob Shneider fan.

I still have to see Shrek and Pearl Harbor, but most of all Mummy 2!

mummy 2 was good i have not seen shrek yet although i am like dying to see it and so was pearl harbor

thats number 2 for me after shrek and i also wanna see lord of the rings has any one read the book cause i have not but i hear they are great:D
