Films that are rated R, but have sequels with a PG or PG-13 rating.

I noticed that some R-rated films have sequels that are either rated PG or PG-13. Here are the ones I came up with.

POLICE ACADEMY (R)
All of it's sequels are rated PG-13.

SPEED (R)
SPEED 2: CRUISE CONTROL (PG-13)

THE BLUES BROTHERS (R)
BLUES BROTHERS 2000 (PG-13)

STAKEOUT (R)
ANOTHER STAKEOUT (PG-13)

REVENGE OF THE NERDS (R)
REVENGE OF THE NERDS II: NERDS IN PARADISE (PG-13)

PURPLE RAIN (R)
GRAFFITI BRIDGE (PG-13)

CADDYSHACK (R)
CADDYSHACK 2 (PG-13)

That's all I can think of thus far. Can anyone think of any others?

I guess cuz sequels are made primarily to make more money anyway, and lowering the age limit expands the audience.

Robocop 1 & 2 were rated R and I do believe Robocop 3 was PG-13...

I wonder how many of those first movies, if rated today, would get a PG-13 rating? It seems as time goes on, the standards for ratings goes down a tad and movies squeak by with more in them than before with a lower rating.

Vacation was 'R', European Vacation was 'R' (I think), and both Christmas Vacation and Vegas Vacation are PG-13.... but I try not to remember the 2nd and 4th ones...

Actually, Vegas Vacation was PG....

I don't this one was mentioned. FX was R, the sequel FX2 was PG-13.
