I love that the article tends to point out that she was naked multiple times.
Suks for the neighbor tho. More than likely she was ot attractive too, so it was a lose/lose situation.

Howdy,
The first cut of the article added, "Rumors that the woman claimed to be "more of a Family Circus" fan were unconfirmed at press time," but that got axed.
Just one of those truly bizarro stories that I couldn't quite pass up.

Guy seems to be taking it pretty well. If anyone even did that to my five dollar comic books, they wouldn't be hauled off to some crowded jail, their next stop would be the morgue.

Oh yeah. Ditto that.
Poor guy... and it's not like she tore it up and then threw it away. She flushed it and now he's definitely not getting it back.

I love that the article tends to point out that she was naked multiple times. It's not a very well written piece, as you point out, Coney. Amateurish at best...
It wasn't a dark and stormy night when police were called to a residence in the 1100 block of Darlene Avenue. It was only 2:27 p.m. when Walter Merritt reported that the valuable item was stolen from the room he was renting.
But this thread isn't about journalism.
What I find incredibly humerous is this:
While on the line with dispatch, another resident peered through the bathroom keyhole Who has door locks like this anymore? And if the key wasn't in the lock (so the neighbor could see through), why not grab a witness, open the door, go in and request the stollen SB back?
In any event, everyone involved seems a tad loopy. The owner needed one thing. A safe in his home for which to keep his valuables secure. Kinda silly.

Why would someone do that?

Why would someone do that?Because they're naked.

Who has door locks like this anymore? <
People who live in older houses (yes, I speak from experience.)
> Why would someone do that? <
I wouldn't be surprised if there was alcohol consumption involved.
This definitely is an amateurish piece of writing. The woman's state of undress had nothing to do with her misdeed; I'm sure the writer emphasized that just to get a more eye-catching headline.
Well, that certainly was one of the weirdest news stories I've read all day.
