Help my Batman figures are melting!

I can't help myself but if I touch certain loose Batman figures, they have somekind of a slimey feeling. Does anyone know why? Is it because of a wrong room temperature or something like that?

I have never heard anything like this. Sure somebody didn't put something on them to play a prank? How hot do you keep your house? I have had figures for years that never felt slimey.

Do you keep your figures under a light source? I do, and some of them/the accessories have kind of a sticky feeling to them (the water squirter on the old Mr. Freeze figure, Catwoman's cat, etc.). I think that the light is melting them slightly.

I should move them, but I have no where else to put them.

No they're not exposed on light and there's nobody else to put stuff on them.

Hmmm...I was thinking it might be somekind of heat source too. I dunno. Are there any hobby shops in your area you could check with?
