Apparently the final DVD will have the true/complete ending for the people who buy it.

Until the show is brought over to America, and released on DVD.

Seeing as the TV ending felt like they tried to cram all their leftover ideas for the characters and wrap up the series in just 22 minutes... yeah, this isn't too surprising.
Like, unless I'm totally forgetting something here, we didn't see any of Miyu's other modes until the end, right? I mean, that was an awesome concept they only had 2 scenes to show off without explanation.

...hummm..
From what I understand, there IS a massive expansion of contents. There would be more backstory for some characters.
There is also an impressive series of 'extras' video clips... I am expecting more humours clips, serious background explanations, or both...
It appears they had run out of time when they made the TV version... will keep an eye out.

They'd have to do an awful lot to make the ending not suck.

Hmmm, I really do not see what was wrong with the ending we had. It was perfect with no questions remaining.

She was the last carnival's winner, and her real body was in that crystal thing... but she had that puppet/wheelchair body, too. Was she Fumi's child? What was Fumi's deal, anyway?
I was confused about Tate's sword until someone pointed out it was Miyu's. That'd be a nice thing to show how he got it. Same deal with other points in the series when characters magically had things without explanation. Like Miyu's raincoat after running out of the lab mummified.
