I got a good laugh today when my mom called me downstairs. She was looking through the current Galls catalogue (a catalogue for law enforcemant supplies and other such things) when she spotted the following. Take a look at some of the names on these sample nametags....

I didn't recognize A in the first pic or A and B in the second. Are they comic characters, too?
I thought this was funny and just thought I'd share it with you all. I bet somebody at Galls is a comic book fan. :D

Howdy,
Either one of those two would have been an interesting coincidence. Having them both show up in the same catalog is enough evidence of a conspiracy to me :).
When I was working for Bellcore (research arm of the local phone companies), I took a class with a fellow named Barry Allen. This was even when the John Wesley Shipp live-action Flash TV show was on, so his comic book namesake even came up during a break once.

James Edwards is J on Men in Black, I assume that the name was consistent with the comic, but I never read it. I haven't ever heard of a Ken Reeder or Alan Rogers in comics. This reminds me of Catch Me If You Can where Frank Abagnale used comic secret identities as his alias on his fake id's and checks.

Haha!! My junior year of high school, I sat next to a guy in my science class named Jimmy Olsen. He said his parents were big Superman fans. (Even had a class my senior year with a James Bond. :D )

Steve Rogers is Captain America's civilian identity (I can't remember if it's public or secret).

Yeah, Steve Rogers, Peter Parker, and Hal Jordan were the only names I could identify.

That's funny. Could Ken Reeder or Alan Rogers be super obscure?

Alan Rogers is Steve Rogers's long-lost brother-cousin eight times removed. For more, read House of M. "NOTHING WILL BE THE SAME! NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER AGAIN!"
...Seriously, though. That's pretty funny! :D Makes ya wonder if someone is a comics fan!

On a similar note. I always laugh when I see the street sign...."Left turn on Green Arrow only".

I always notice the Green Arrows and Green Lanterns... er... Lights.
If you've ever seen The Big O, you know of it's obvious Bat-parallels. Well, I always perk up and pay attention when I hear about "The Big O... Overstock.com!"
