Here's my idea it takes place at the end of season 2- You all know that Chris leaves. After the wedding I'm going to have something happen between Lorelai and Luke and maybe a week or two after that Chris comes back because Lorelai and Rory don't return his calls and you know the rest then a week after that Chris comes back again and tells Lorelai that Sherrie isn't pregnant and he wants to get back together with Lorelai but she's with Luke at the time. So he moves to Hartford or Stars Hollow because he doesn't want to be with Sherrie anymore. Then slowly Chris and Lorelai would get together.
So what do all you GG fans think? I know not the most favorite couple but I like it.
Oh and I have a problem I don't know what Christopher's job should be any ideas?
