Do you remember a cartoon series around the same time of the 1980's "Transformers" series and "G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero", where babies turned into super heroes?
They would hear of danger and fly to each others rooms, and in their cribs, would turn into super heroes.
They would all bring their bottles with them. One was all muscular, one was a rubber guy like Plastic Man, etc. They all wore diapers too.The above question was sent to me by a friend. I thought the answer had something to do with the "Muppet Babies", but I wasn't sure.
Anybody know what this show, described in the quote above, was called and what was it about, exactly?
Thanks in advance!

that was mighty heroes. The one with plastic man gave it away. Oh and it was a 1960's cartoon.

I have heard of this show, but never saw it. Was it ever rerun on TV in the 1980's?
My friend and I were speaking about the 1980's Transformers and he swears this "baby superhero" show was on during the same time period. Could he have been watching reruns of "Mighty Heroes" during the '80s?, or is he flat out wrong on his decades?

That might have been Fantastic Max

I think you're friend's memory is playing tricks on him. The show sounds like "The Mighty Heroes", but only one of them was a baby (the appropriately named "Diaper Man"). They were a klutzy band of superheroes who were constantly apologizing to each other for their mishaps. Ralph Bakshi reportedly worked on this series. It was originally produced in the late 60's but was constantly rerun in syndication for twenty years afterward. For the record, their membership consisted of:
Strong Man: a garage mechanic with superhuman strength. Dumb as a post and had a thick Southern accent.
Tornado Man: a weatherman who turned into a living tornado. Could control winds.
Rope Man: a sailor whose body was a living coil of rope that could extent to incredible lengths, form lassoes, etc.
Cuckoo Man: a pet shop clerk with no real power other than the ability to fly. Tended to blunder into evil rather than actually fight it.
Diaper Man: a baby that could fly and use his bottle as a weapon.

Diaper Man: a baby that could fly and use his bottle as a weapon. This was the greatest cartoon ever. Bakshi even had the Heroes return in an episode of Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures called Heroes and Zeroes. They all were retired and worked for Man, Man, Man, Man, and Man accounting. They were also middleaged (Strong Man was bald and fat and wore glasses and Rope Man needed dentures). Diaper Man also insisted at the end of the episode that he shouldn't be called Diaper Man anymore because he was 34 years old. He wanted to be known as Plastic Training Pants Man.

I spoke to my friend, and I told him what you guys had said on this board. He agreed that the show he was trying to remember was indeed, "The Mighty Heroes".
I'm glad I joined up!:)
