I posted this idea right after Halloween and I decided to postpone it. How about we get avatars from scenes from redrawn colorized cartoons? I would like to do this just before Christmas. How 'bout it, folks?

In the 60s/70s/80s (depends on what cartoons were redrawn), comapanies would have their libraries of black and white cartoons redrawn in color. They would send the films to Korea, and the Koreans would paint new backgrounds and ink and paint new cells. These would then be photographed and combined with the original soundtract.

The problem with this is they were given small budgets to redraw the films, so not every frame was redrawn, more like every second or third frame. Another thing is the Koreans didn't know English, so they would often mispell names in credits, or words in the backgrounds. Plus, they didn't know what colors certain things should be, so the resulting cartoons have stuff like yellow ghosts and a brown Daffy Duck.

You can see several redrawns on CN, "Puss and Booty," "Jeepers Creepers," and "Wholly Smoke." are particularly bad. Also, all color versions of B&W Popeye cartoons are redrawns.
