I realize its tought to juggle that many heroes at once, but i cannot help but feel that some of the leagues powers are being left out
Superman-- one of my all time favorite powers, Cold Breath has yet to make an appearance
Flash-- why didnt he just vibrate out of that gunk he was in durring the invasion? same with when he and the league were trapped by the "senator" I did appreciate seeing him create two whirlwinds to dissipate the gas that was disabling Gl-- nice touch
GL-- no real complaints-- he could use some imagination lessons with that ring of his
Hawkgirl-- if you dont scream every time you go to make an attack, you might actualy suprise the enemy once in a while
Wonder Woman-- no complaints here
Batman-- ditto-- they handle his gadgets well
MM-- does he have a weakness to fire in this universe? if so that might explain why he was to afraid to move in pt. 1 of IN BLACKEST night and why the flash had to save him
all in all the series is fantastic-- my complaints are just nitpicky things that i would get a real kick out of seeing the heroes do i guess
all in all-- JL: A+

Actuallty, Superman used his superbreath in "In Blackest Night" Part I when he blew out a fire.
Flash might not know about all his powers just yet. He seems to rely on speed alone, although his whirlwind arms trick was neat. I think to some extent he didi vibrate out of the goo. John Stewart freed his legs, but not his arm. Flash just kind of pulled his arm out...
According to Timm J'onn is vulnerable to fire.

Good points TFMA. I've always been a bit miffed at the fluctuation of Superman's powers. Sometimes he seems stronger/faster than he should be, and sometimes it's the opposite.
Though I really like the Flash character, his powers are WAY underused. He can do much more than just run fast, and he even seems a bit slow at that.
WW has a great deal of potential. I don't think they've even scratched the surface to what she can offer the JL.
GL does need a bit of an imagination, but overall he's been effective. His approach is obviously straight-forward, maybe to show that he's NOT Kyle.
MM has been good and bad. At times he's awesome. The scene in "IBN Part 2" when he phased his hand into the manhumters head...that was awesome. Other times, his effort seems less than 100%.
TFMA, you're right about HG. If she kept her attacks a bit less grunt/groan free, she might have better luck in some of her fights.
Batman has been used well so far. We haven't seen much of him, but he's pretty much the same 'ol Bats.
I really hope that the rest of the JL is not depowered too much when Batman makes appearances. Granted, he has skills that the other members don't, but he is still fallible.

The danger is that Flash becomes nigh-omnipotent, as he was in the comic for a while.

You want her to get even MORE wins?? You do know that, in the first 5 episodes, she has more wins in personal combat than ANYONE else??

I have some of the same qualms with the flash...for being such a cool character, he seems so...useless?
The Flash

Yeah it did seem as though they dimmed down my powers. :D Flash hasn't vibrated through a thing! As I noted in my latest Episode review (at the WF), when GL and Flash were in the dome/chamber/whatever to be executed, why didn't he just vibrate through it?

It's my theory that The Flash doesn't KNOW he can do all that yet.
And as for GL...Why does he have to be creative? It's not in his character...

now what would be cool is if in the upcoming GL/Flash team up episode (appropriatly named The Brave and the Bold) both of them discovered some new uses for their powers
one thing i REALLY REALLY hope makes an appearance is
THE COSMIC TREADMILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
that would RULE!!
what they *might* be able to do is a neat little team up episode with Flash and GL and have them meet Golden Age Flash and Golden Age GL! That would be cool (make it a time travel episode that way the writers arent obligated to show them in the present storylines etc)

I want to see WW use her lasso more. I've seen gliding, super strength, and extensive use of the bracelets (a little too extensive).
GL needs some creativity, as usual.
Hawkgirl gets an A+++++ from me, as does Supes, Bats, Flash, & J'onn. :)

superman used just a super breath, not cold breath
besides in STAS and B-Beyond he put fires out by doing a thunderclap (which is REALLY cool IMHO)

Yeah it is cool, but wouldn't it make people around that deaf? Just a thought.

I think Flash has to know. Assuming JL takes place after Legacy, and Speed Demons was before Legacy, then Flash should know he can do that stuff.
My theory is he tried, but it didnt work. Flash can vibrate which causes friction and heat which would melt the ice, but maybe it didnt work for the goo, because it was like quicksand or something. The more you struggle the more you get stuck.

In the comics, doesn't everything Flash vibrates through explode? Or am I sadly behind in continuity? I don't read his book that much...
The Flash

I don't read it either (LOL) but last I knew it did....

didnt that change when he became one with the speed force?
still what would the Flash have cared if that gunk had exploded?

Either way it doesn't matter. Bruce Timm always ends up doing it the way he likes. (I would like to see him vibrate through stuff however....)

it seems they have watered down all the heroes' super powers in this show. At least, Superman seems a little stronger in JL than in his own show. They really watered down his strength in S:TAS.
Justice League 2000

superman was stronger in the Jla than the superpowers tv series. batman has cool gadgets in the JLA than the superpowers. Flash is more faster In the jla than superpowers. superpowers flash was
not fast enough. I am glad that Timm did The justice league tv series it the best show in cartoon network. timm could of do it right after the Batman superman adventures. :D

They have to watered down everybody otherwise they'll be too strong and everything will be like a walk in the park for the team. :)

If he vibrates through it at the right frequency, it causes the object to explode. So, if he wants to, he can make it explode.
Someone else here said that it looks like this is the Flash that we saw in the early issues of the current Flash series, and I have to agree. Both in terms of personality and powers, he seems to be more like early Wally. Early Wally was more arrogant and couldn't go too fast. I believe his top speed was around Mach 5 (not to be confused with the razor)
Hmm, it could be interesting to see Flash do something creative with sonic booms. He could defeat his opponent through deafening them. :)

Very astute FMA, I noticed the original STAS didn't use superbreath once from Kal. Yet Supergirl used superbreath several times. As episodes continued I kept a steady eye on it. They either forgot or rationalized some lame excuse as to why it didn't suit him. Nice catch.

Pretty much my theory, too. That and the fact that they aren't used to being a team (unlike the X-Men) so they don't play off each others' strengths very well. Though one could argue that not being used to teamwork would mean they would use their individual powers more...but then we're back to the original reason: if all of the JL used all of their powers to optimum efficiency...no bad guys would stand a chance. Kind of a bummer, though, as it's a tad silly to need WW, Batman, MM, GL AND Superman to stop one not-so-powerful human (DeadShot).
