Forgive my "fanboy meanderings," but what did you all think?

Personally, I don't see it happening. First off, the surest way to bog down a comic book/T.V. show is to introduce a kid. Why do you think that Marvel Comics got rid of Spider-Man's daughter?

Second, unless there is a link found between humans and Kryptonians, they are not genetically compatable! Lois would have a better time breeding with a hamster or an alligator. Read Larry Niven's Man of Steel, Woman of Kleenex article for more on Superman's incompatability with Terran women, located here (warning: it gets a little blue):

Hasn't it been talked about in the comics that they aren't genetically compatible? I mean, I think they have sex, but the gene structures or something is too different...

I guess adoption could be a possibility, but what's the point?

And it's not like genetic incompatibility slowed down Star Trek's drive to cross-pollinate every sentient species in the universe.

Same with DBZ. If a race of monkey-men can breed with humans, I don't see why Kryptonians couldn't. Doesn't mean it should happen anytime soon, just saying it could.
