Saiyuki

Hello,
So, I didn't see a Saiyuki thread open, (...if there is sorry for the repeat I know how annoying that is from other sites) so I decided to start one. Saiyuki is my favorite anime. :D

If you guys like it to, who's your favorite character? Do you read the manga or watch the anime? Did you like ADV's dub for Gensomaden? What do you think of Geneons dub for Reload? How did you start watching/reading Saiyuki?

well, since its still very much fresh in my mind after watching disc 4 from Vol 2 of the Double Barrel Collection.

I liked it, especially during the 2nd half of the series, the "Rebelious" Gods were awsome.

I've only collected up to vol 2 of the manga, namely because of lack of funds. But i've seen the whole anime series plus the movie

And i'll just say this about the dub, why oh why didn't you pick up the other two series ADV? Geneon did not watch the series before adding their own dub, goku's voice sucks .. really bad, the name's are not pronounced right (Hawkeye)

what else .... oh yeah and i got started by watching a friends dvd when they first got it

All I've seen is Requiem (http://news.toonzone.net/article.php?ID=2707), and I wasn't too impressed. Son Goku was my favorite character there, though. And Sanzo just got annoying.

Yeah, the gods were cool. :anime: And The movie was awesome too! Hehe, I liked it a lot better than some anime movies I've seen.

Yeah, :crying: why didn't ADV get Reload and Gunlock. *sigh* Yeah, I didn't like Goku or Hakkai's voice, but Gojyo and Sanzo were alright.

I started watched 'cause I read a manga preview, and then I was either gunna by the first manga or a Rurouni Kenshin XD then I saw that the dvds were half off. So I got one of them. ^.^ Hehe.

I think the reason Geneon didn't get the others was because they partially funded it, so they got first dibs.

Oooh okay. :crying: Darn. Oh well, guess we can't do anything about it. lol. And I hate when people go around with the, "Sign this petition" for this and that. Lol. ^_^; Oh well, The voices arn't the best but heck we can deal, or watch the Japanese. And My sister and I both agreed that Geneon is better than the Japanese. XD
