If the director of cowboy bebop ever allowed the series to continue, and if my opinion mattered in the subject, I'd only allow it if the series dealt with different characters. Agree or not agree?
PS. Also, I've finished a ton of Cowboy Bebop Avatars, but I don't know the best way to post them, or where I should send them. If anyone wishes to inform me, I would appreciate it.

Zip 'em up and e-mail them to me at brian@toonzone.net and I'll add them to the avatar thread.

I think Cowboy Bebop is an incredible series just as it is. I wouldn't be too interested in seeing another series with different characters.

They could make a Cowgirl Ed OVA.

If they made a series based on Cowgirl Ed and brought in other characters from the old series, YES, I want to see that!

Well, why not make a series about Spike when he was working in the mafia? I think that would certainly be interesting.

What little there is to know about Terpschore makes me want to see a series with him in it. His back story would be interesting to see. Besides, he's a dish:

hi. i'm new. anyway. there will not be anymore cowboy bebop. The creator, Hajime Yadate, has said that he will not do anymore. He has stated that he feels that if he does do more, they won't be as good, so there is no use putting out second rate episodes. The manga is coming to america, and the movie should be here soon as well.

Yeah, I think the person who started the thread realizes that, ReverendPain. That's why he said, "_IF_ the director of Cowboy Bebop ever allowed. . . " Anyway, the creator of CB is not Hajime Yadate, it's Shinichiro Watanabe, who is also the director. He has stated pretty emphatically that there won't be any more CB, but you never know. Sometimes after many years have past, anime creators go back to a series that is supposed to be dead. The Return of Urusei Yatsura is one that comes to mind.

Sunrise rarely makes sequel series to their most popular shows. Even their Gundam franchise rarely feature the same characters in two Gundam series.

I hate sounding like a jerk, but I think Spike has been used enough. His story seems to be the main vein within Cowboy Bebop, and seems to be pretty much open and shut. All the other parts of his life, at this time, don't seem to have a need to be touched upon. His past with vicious and julia is pretty well detailed within the series. The man's tale is complete in and of itself.

Eh? Return of Urusei Yatsura? Are you talking about the sixth movie, or something completely different? I'm a big fan of the series, and I must know!

Well, I don't know anything about the Urusei Yatsura anime. . . I was talking about the manga. Rumiko Takahashi wrote Urusei Yatsura, finished it and moved on to other things (Ranma 1/2, Maison Ikkoku). Then, years later, she continued the manga with "The Return of Urusei Yatsura." The anime was based on the manga, of course, and most of Takahashi's work gets made into anime, but I don't know that "The Return" did.
