Check out the newspage! Matthew Valcenia, who voice the Tim Drake Robin in The New Batman Adventures has been replaced by Eli Marienthal. Marienthal voiced Hogarth in The Iron Giant and Young Zee in The Zeta Project. Comments?

umm...is this for the Static Shock eppie only, or for JL too....though I thought there wasn't gonna be Robin on JL

I'm assuming this will be for Static Shock since Robin isn't slated to appear in JL. But the original actor is now in his late teens and has probably hit puberty by now. Eli will probably be the permemant replacement for any future Robin appearances. I'll find more about this!

Is Conroy voicing Batman on Static Shock?

Conroy will ALWAYS be Batman. Read the newspage article. Conroy even said he'll voice Batman as long as he can - ne never tires of the character. And Hammill will be back as The Joker as well.

We'll live. As long as Kevin Conroy and Mark Hammil keep coming back all will be right in the animated world.

I wonder what they'll look like on Static Shock. It's not exactly art deco.

Eli Marienthal was FANTASTIC in the IRON GIANT (and I gotta give credit to ANYONE who has something to do with ZETA PROJECT, since it's one of my favorites), so I think he'll do well as Robin.

Oh, and hello! I'm new to the forums here, but not the site.

So very true. I think Eli made the Iron Giant. The fact that he's a real kid really helped.

And welcome to the forums! And you're not a strange rof the site, eh? I'm glad to see you enjoying the fruits of my labor!

Coincidently, this kid Eli can heard in this evening's Batman Beyond episode. He's the voice of Dak. DG, your news came just in time!

BTW, I am also a big of The Iron Giant. I hope Warner Bros. continue to make interesting animated features for the big screen.

He'll make a fine Robin.

The real question is, what will the characters look like when they show up in SS.

Of course i would have preferred the original voice to return, but i guess it would be weird to see him w/ a really deep voice. But, i guess it's only an SS ep, so i'll live.

maybe he'll sound the same? Hmm..dunno, but either way ,it'll be cool to see those 2 again...I wonder if batman will be in his JL style outfit?...

Ok, I'm kinda lost. What's Static Shock and is Timmy making any special appearences on JLA? And when is it on??? I keep missing it! :( And any body know what timeline it's in? Or is it one of it's own? So many questions! Argh!!!!!

I think he'll do fine as Robin. Also, Mathew Valencia already had a deeper voice in ROTJ (for those of you who could identify it during his two brief lines) so imagine how he'll sound now! I probably woulden't mind too much, but I guess it's better for Robin to have a younger voice. Oh, and to answer your question, Batgirl, Static Shock is a show on KidsWB about a teen who gets electrical powers from a chemical explosion, if my memory serves me corectly. The show is on a temporary hiatus, but it will be back around january or february. And Tim is not scheduled to make any JL appearences, but who knows what will happen in future seasons. Hope that helps! :)

See ya!

All right, another Zeta fan!! And I had no idea that Marienthal was Hogarth! Eesh, and I call myself obsessed.
I haven't seen any of the Batman cartoons besides BB in a while (when do they come on?) but I'm sure Eli Marienthal will make a great Robin.

It's supposed to come back sometime in January or February... Hopefully January, I miss TZP!!! :( Anyway, the first new episode is "Absolute Zero," but there's still an episode that hasn't been shown yet (except in Canada) called "Ro's Reunion."

not to scurry off topic..but...wasn't there an episode where Ro reunited with her father or somthing? Wouldn't that typically be "Ro's Reunion" ?. It was one of the episodes I managed to sit through w/o tossing my cookies....

YTV (in Canada) is expected to show episode #13 of ZETA next weekend. I don't think that one has aired in the States, either. I think the pick of Eli as the new Robin voice is a good one. Robin is about 14 now in the cartoon so it should work, considering Eli is only a year lder in real life.

Did anybody else just love "The Iron Giant"? That movie was ausome...the references to Superman that were made in that movie was excelent...gotta love the '50s. It'll be ausome to hear Hogarth's voice through Tim Drake's body.

IRON GIANT is my favorite movie. An absolutely perfect production across the board. That movie should have been a huge hit.

Oooh, Iron Giant. Great, great flick that deserved triple the box office it got. Just another way WB is annoying... they completely dropped the ball advertising this one.

Nope, that was "Hicksburg," and that was her foster father, not her real father. At the end of the episode, Ro's foster sister Tiffany gave her a picture of someone who was supposed to be her real brother. He was probably mentioned again in "Ro's Reunion."

I watched THE IRON GIANT this weekend, and I think Eli will be a real good match for Robin. He even sounds remarkably close to Mathew Valencia's voice, if a bit higher. And Robin's voice was sorta deep in ROTJ - and that was voice recorded over 2 years ago!
