Interesting concept. But if the designs look like crap or it looks like some quasi-anime production it won't matter.

As others have mentioned, this is being made in New York City for Nickelodeon and thus is not anime.

This could be either a good cartoon that's influenced by anime like Avatar or it could be bad like Totally Spies.

Animation Collective is doing it? The same people who brought us the badly-made Flash cartoons Leader Dog and Tortellini Western? Ugh... unless they up the animation, timing, and writing for this series, we could be seeing an embarrasment.

Anime influenced? I can't even begin to imagine how you could even say that, this is 120% Western looking.

As for the show itself, looks about as good as My Dad the Rockstar is.

Well, according to the press release, 4kids considers it as a "anime action comedy series", so I assume that the animation will look anime influenced.

Edit: I just saw the official website. It doesn't look anime-influenced.

Damn! If Mew Mew is that big of a success then I pray it won't go to 4Kids' heads and they "pull a Sonic X" if you know what I mean. Back on topic: I can say this will bomb faster than Brothers Flub did. No one is going to watch a show called "Kappa Mikey".
