I love this one, it's one of my favorites, and it's also being repeated right now! One of the errors that I always notice is how Bugs's bandana disappears when he is leaning up against the cactus, just before he tells Red Hot Ryder to jump over the Grand Canyon. You'll know what I mean when you see it, keep your eyes open. It is hard to miss. My favorite gag is when he robs him with the magnet again, but robs him of his diaper this time, leaving him wearing a leaf! No edits or anything.

I'm not quite sure what you're asking for, you haven't exactly phrased the questions clearly. If you're asking about Red wearing the diaper, he was wearing it under his pants. When Bugs's magnet removed the belt, Red's pants fell, and there was a diaper underneath. The magnet removed the diaper's pin too, leaving just the leaf.
I listed my favorite gag. It is when Red has his diaper stolen by the magnet. This cartoon isn't that rare, so keep your eyes open and you should see it again. It should show up sooner or later on the Bob Clampett Show, which is on Sun. at 9 PM. I hope that I answered your questions.

sure did.
sorry for not wording my question right.
yeah, i did see up to were bugs bunny started to rob
red the first time, as he pulled out the magnet, but thanks to
att cable, a test blimp came on and ended as red was talking to bugs and he is standing near the catus.
got to love those EBS test cable systems do to drive us nuts.
anyway, i hope wording it this way helps joe, sorry for the miss wording before.
anyway lets home some day we all find out what inspired the best gags in this cartoon, what is your theroy here that may have inspired the best gags or the 2nd best gags.
i would say :thinks: war time?

Um, I think it's kind of silly to say that war was an inspiration for these gags. There is absolutely no proof for that. It was just Clampett's personality. All of his cartoons are fairly similar in their wackiness. Just because a cartoon is made during wartime doesn't mean that the war was inspiration or an influence on the gags. Obviously, though, Red Hot Ryder was a parody of the Lone Ranger, so I guess that that was some inspiration for the cartoon. But you can never know what was inspiration for everything (or, as you say, all of "the gags") in every cartoon. Isn't it possible that nothing really inspired the idea, but that the director pulled the idea out of thin air? I am kind of confused as to why you think that everything has some source of inspiration that can be easily cited. I mean, I guess that everything that a person does is influenced by past occurences, but you can't know all of a person's influences because you can't know everything that has happened to them.
I think that we have spent too much time talking about this one topic. If you really, really want to learn more about Buckaroo Bugs, I recommend that you search some websites, check spumco.com for the Cartoon Companion, and look up the entry in the Looney Tunes guide by Beck/Friedwald. If you really feel the need to continue this conversation, which to me seems to be going nowhere, then you should contact me personally via e-mail or the board's private messaging. This way we will not waste any more of this board's space, or the members' time. But you really seem to be trying to over-analyze this cartoon, understanding it takes much less effort than you are putting into it, and I don't think that there is anything more to be said.

ok, no problem there.
i think i am puttin more into it then is needed.
how true you are there, Bob Clampett was one of
the best, and recently didn't even know has passed on years
before.
you are right, his toons were some of the best ever made
i seen a few other of his toons also.
i only use the example of war cause the term "victory Gardons"
was used.
as we finally close out this discution,
you are right, it is a great toon and also
bob clampett, were every you are today, thank you for your
great imagination and ideas
