Not bad, I was expecting it to be higher than that. It'll probably be lower since I just don't like the art Superman is seemingly going to have. Also doesn't hurt that I dropped Batman.. since it seems like Winick's gone.. weird that it hasn't been talked about, unless that was just a typo in the solicitation. Also Hawkman is murdered?!

Superman is just taking a turn to a direction I really don't want to go in. 2 all Super-book crossovers in as many months makes me drop it rather than continue after "For Tomorrow" concludes.
Now on to my list.

Returnm of Donna Troy is something I lost interest in, so I'm just going to skip it. All these tie-ins to Infinite Crisis are rather vexing, and it's making me dump a few titles. I really don't care for all these foreced tie-ins. This will be one of my lighter DC-related months in a while. I'm just starting to worry that Infinite Crisis is going ot turn into OWAW 2 with all these unneeded crossovers. I hope that DC proves me wrong though. House of M has me more interested after this latest solication from the Distinguished Competetion.

Well, the most exciting thing this month, at least for me, is the debut of All-Star Batman & Robin. It's not often that I get this hyped up for a new superhero title, but I'm excited by what we've seen. Besides, Frank Miller and Jim Lee is a total dream team, so I've got high hopes for this one. I might even pick up both covers, which is something I hardly ever do.
Batman: Dark Detective also looks like a lot of fun. I'll probably have to wait for the TPB on this one, but I'll get around to it sooner or later. Awesome covers, though.
Interestingly, the only two Batman books I'm excited about are out-of-continuity. Well, there's Gotham Central, which is always cool, but outside of that, I have little interest in the Batman line. I didn't particularly care for "Hush", but I know a lot of people enjoyed it, and the art was fantastic, so I have no objection to it getting the Absolute treatment.
Although DC: The New Frontier had better get it also.
I might pick up the Nightwing: Year One TPB. Dixon and Beatty are reliable, and the issues I flipped through in the store looked enjoyable, so it might be worth the fifteen books.
Superman/Batman parodies the Ultimates. Could rock, could be incredibly stupid. I've come this far, though, so I might as well see the Loeb run through to the end...
A new volume of Johns' The Flash, which I read in TPB, is always a treat. I'm looking forward to this. Green Lantern, as usual, has a gorgeous cover and sounds like fun. I'm especially happy that Johns is opening with a three-parter, and not one of the bloated six-part arcs that seem so common with new series today.
Warren Ellis is on JLA Classified. Interesting... is anybody else amused by the fact that JLA Classified has been more consistently entertaining than the main title since it started?
As happy as I'm sure we all are to see an Adam Hughes Power Girl cover (cleavage ho!), I'm uncertain if the market can support two JSA titles. We'll see, I suppose.
None of the Countdown to Infinite Crisis miniseries seem terribly interesting, which is good for financial reasons. I might pick up The Rann/Thanagar War in TPB if it gets good reviews, though. I happen to have a fondness for Adam Strange, the Thanagarian hawks, and Kyle Rayner, so this book pushes all my buttons.
That Seven Soldiers: Zatanna cover is so sexy it's probably illegal in some countries.
And, of course, there's all the usual goodness from the Vertigo and Wildstorm imprints. Incidentally, Trigger is cancelled with #8, which is kind of a bummer. It was clearly building towards something cool.

Ones I might be interested in buying interested in:
* All Star Batman and Robin, the Boy Wonder: $2.99; Frank Miller writing this means it should be halfway entertaining (or better than the guy in the Bat-costume doing a bad imitation of Batman in the current comics ;-) )
* Batman: Dark Detective 5 & 6: $2.99 each; Englehart is cool, and it's the one Batman comic in a *very* long time that I actually look forward to reading...
* DC Special: The Return of Donna Troy #2: $2.99; Looks like DC needed to renew the trademark on their old 70's series of one-off specials "DC Special" ("DC Special" #29, the origin of the JSA, is one of my all-time favorite comics).
* Teen Titans Go!: $2.25; I haven't read this book before, but this issue looks sort of interesting.
* Looney Tunes #128: $2.25
* Powerpuff Girls #64: $2.25
* Astro City: The Dark Age #2: $2.99
Superman and Wonder Woman look like another pointless, expensive crossover...
Power Girl demonstrates her apparent "power" to, erm, stand up straight without suffering major back pain. Am curious how they plan to resolve her hackneyed post-Crisis/Zero Hour/etc. origin story, though (I'd suggest "she was sent from ancient post-Crisis Krypton to Earth as an infant, goes through the stupid "Arion Lord of Atlantis" origin version stuff (with the Kryptonian stuff somehow kept secret for <x,y,z> reasons), and just now in the present somehow finds out she really *is* from Krypton after all...").
Was hoping for another TPB reprint of older (i.e. Silver or Bronze Age) material coming out... oh, well.
The above add up to a grand total of approximately $20. Which would also be enough cash to just wait and buy one of these series as a trade paperback... :-)

ALL STAR BATMAN AND ROBIN, THE BOY WONDER #1 - I hope this is good. Frank has been hit and miss the last few years but he is an icon and always deserves a chance cause he can knock it out of the park when he is on his game. Lee...enh. I haven't liked this guy since WildC.A.T.S. My tastes just changed and I really don't like his artwork anymore. I hated Hush so his involvement has really soured my interest in this book.
BATMAN #642
BATGIRL #66 - been enjoying this series latley. CATWOMAN #45 - close to droping this one but I'm hanging on hoping it gets back some of its past coolness
NIGHTWING #110
ROBIN #140 - Love McDaniel's artwork.
YEAR ONE: BATMAN/RA'S AL GHUL #2 - Ras Al Ghul? Come on you have to want this. He's the best Batman villian out there.SUPERMAN/BATMAN #21 - Love this book especially when McGuinness is involved.
WONDER WOMAN #219
BLOOD OF THE DEMON #5 - I didn't know Byrne was doing the artwork for this. I'm in.
DOOM PATROL #14 - Odd book but I like it.
GREEN ARROW #52
HAWKMAN #42
JLA #116
JLA CLASSIFIED #10
JSA #75
JSA CLASSIFIED #1 - Can I just mention that I have the major hots for Power Girl.LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES #8
THE OMAC PROJECT #4 - Not sure about this one yet, When I read the first issue I'll make my discions about following these tie-ins.
OUTSIDERS #26
THE RANN/THANAGAR WAR #3
TEEN TITANS #26 - Man I'm loving this book.
THE BATMAN STRIKES! #11
JUSTICE LEAGUE UNLIMITED #11 - These two books are my guilty pleasures. Not really great but the kid in me enjoys them and makes me buy them.
EX MACHINA #13 - Oh you know I have to get this book. Great stuff.
FABLES #39 - This is my favorite book
Y: THE LAST MAN #35 - and my second fav.
Man that seems like a lot. I've been buying tons more than I ever have these past few months than I ever have. I guess I can't complain about the quality of comics anymore.

Action Comics #829 - Most likely my last issue. Not sure. I'm going to start this because Gail Simone has the writing duties, but with Super-title-wide crossovers, well...
Adventures of Superman #642 - Pretty much same as above. I'm only getting this because of the 636 IDC tie-in, and the continuation of that story, along with the crossover in April and with WW in July...
All-Star Batman and Robin, the Boy Wonder #1 - Sigh. I have to admit I didn't enjoy DKR and couldn't get past five pages of DKSB, but I'll give this series a shot. After all, it's Jim Lee. And his art has a "special" place in my heart - the first comic book I ever read was Batman #612. Yes, the whole Batman vs. Superman thing actually pulled me into comics.
Batgirl #66
Batman #642
Batman: Dark Detective #5
Batman: Dark Detective #6
Birds of Prey #84
Catwoman #45
DC Special: The Return of Donna Troy #2
The Flash #224 - Gonna drop this after Rogue War ends. I need to make cuts, and sadly, this title landed on the guillotine.
Green Lantern #3 - Not sure 'bout this series. Positive notes are Johns and Pacheco. Sour notes are that I haven't read GLR yet, so I haven't decided yet.
JLA #116 - I have to see what goes down in this arc. I mean, seriously. Batman is getting his dues.
JSA: Classified #1 - I hope I can get the Conner cover. I really don't care for that AH cover. But, hey, it's what's inside the book that counts. Really looking forward to this, actually.
The Legion of Super-Heroes #8
Lex Luthor: Man of Steel #5 - Azzarello totally lost my confidence with #2, but I'll give the rest of this mini a shot.
The OMAC Project #4
Superman #219 - Same as the other Super-titles. Love Ed's stuff, but I'm really not sure if I want to keep getting and Super-titles other than SB.
Superman/Batman #21
Teen Titans #26
Villains United #3
Wonder Woman #219
LOOOOOOOOOOONG list, but I'm only getting one Marvel title (as far as I know, anyway). So, hey, not TOO bad. It'll be, like, only half of that in September after cuts, so I'm happy.
I'd love to get the Absolute Hush in September, but $50 is a bit steep. Maybe I can get my mom to go halvesies with me...?
I'd also love to get the Wonder Woman Identity Crisis poster, the cover of IDC #4. One of my favorite comic book covers, ever. :)
