Two-Face took it pretty easily last week... without even having to flip his coin. heres to this week being closer.

Okay since I'm pretty sure Perchance To Dream is gonna win, I'm going with Tyger, Tyger. That episode is so underrated. It's a really good episode with some good animation, action, story, and drama. Tygrus was a great character and I really wish we could've seen him again, plus the whole chase between him and Batman was really cool. The ending was very sad as well, which made Tygrus all the more interesting and then Batman narrating the poem as a closing was great too:D Oh runner-ups would be Mad as a Hatter, Perchance To Dream, Beware the Grey Ghost, and Dreams in Darkness.

I'm going with Beware the Gray Ghost. Some excellent music in that episode, and a great way to see into some of Bruce's influences from his childhood. The villain was a bit campy, but that's really my only complaint. Some decent episodes on the list here, but my favorite out of this group is definitely the one with the Gray Ghost.

Oh, I hope "Tyger, Tyger" wins. Truly the most underrated episode.

I wanna vote for On Leather Wings again. :(
I abstain from voting this time because I can't decide between Perchance to Dream and Beware the Gray Ghost. I'm sure one of those two will win anyway.

Gray Ghost for me. Of all the episodes it's the one that best passes the test of time.
Perchance is probably the one that suffers the most when viewed in the cold, hard light of day 10 years+ later.

Perchance to Dream here. Still enjoying it after all these years.
Grey Ghost is beautifully animated, but it's a fairly stock story (old hero turns out to have feet of clay but redeems himself in the end), though it's played with enough gusto that I understand why most people like it more than I do. On the other hand "Tyger Tyger" is just an Island of Dr. Moreau ripoff - and which messes up the opportunity to do a good Catwoman story for good measure. I hate that episode. The one that's underrated in the list is "Dreams in Darkness", though "Mad as a Hatter" (bad animation and all) would be my second choice.

Jinx, a father?! Congratulations, man! And in honor of you, we get some Thomas Wayne episodes.
Man, this was the hardest poll yet. With the Superman episodes, I voted for the ones with the most weight when it comes to build-up and ramifications (y'know, Darkseid stuff), but we've got "Perchance to Dream", "Tyger, Tyger", and "Beware The Gray Ghost"? Tough choice (and that's after eliminating "Mad As A Hatter", which I love).
I can't remember any of the points of "Perchance" that I love, so I had to eliminate that (been too long since I've seen it). "Tyger Tyger" goes down in history as one of the episodes whose villains (if you can call him that) had such a chilling look, I was really horrified. Gotta go with the Ghost, though. A side of Bruce we don't get to see often but explains all the non-dark, angsty stuff surrounding his origin (would he really have so many bat-themed and cool gimmicks if it weren't for Gray Ghost?). Adam West brings it over the top.

Tyger, Tyger all the way. My absolute favorite of the entire series and I'm glad to see I'm not the only one voting for it. Lot o' drama and subtext in that 'un.

I thought dreams in darkness was a great episode:D

Hard call, these are all good episodes in their own right. Most of them are my favorite episodes. So I am going to pick an episode no one else has picked, "The Cape and Cowl Conspiracy".
Wormwood could give Lock-up lessons on setting a trap. He is also one of the few people to actually defeated Batman, though the twist at the end was all the more sweeter.
Note, I cannot help but comment that I gained new respect for Bruce after watching the episode "Perchance to Dream" where at the end Bruce was willing to kill himself than live in a dream world. He actually jumped. Talk about taking a risk on that one.
Luckily, it worked and Bruce woke up.

Unlike last weeks poll this one has many good episodes to choice from. I don't think Perchance to Dream should win, its not bad but its not the best on the list. Tyger, Tyger and Beware the Gray Ghost are the best on the list. Both have pretty good animation and stories. I have to give my vote to Gray Ghost because it shows some of Bruce's past and Adam West being in it. Also the white and black scenes were cool too.

"Beware the Gray Ghost" easily. A fantastic story, excellent music, Adam West teaming up with Kevin Conroy and Bruce Timm as the villain. What's not to love?

Thank you for the information. ;)
To quote Jamie from Megas XLR, "Nice..."
But him, Kevin Conroy and Adam West all in it makes that episode rock even more. :zim:

Sure, but b.t. does more than just voice the villain, he IS the villain. The toy collector is a caricature of Timm.

honestly, this is one of the hardest polls for me so far with so many excellent, yet underrated episodes going head to head.
The Cape and Cowl is quintisential Batman, and not to start a The Batman thrashing thread, but episodes like this are what separtes the two series. The Batman always features an ubervillian, but BTAS could produce a slick episode just by focusing on the bat himself, and by being smart. This gets my vote.
Other notable mentions:
Mad as a Hatter was another example of excellent service being given to a previously sorta lame foe, though mr. walrus was a bit silly, this episode still rocks.
Perchance to Dream is good, but overrated. i like for the man who has everything better *raises flame proof shield*
Tyger, Tyger was so sweet! it was totally different than other eps, and succeded in its uniquness. another example of how BTAS and The Batman are really not the same type of show.
Beware the Gray Ghost is another pretty good episode, BUT... and i hope i dont ruffle too many feathers, its not quite as good as its reputation.
but oh my, the underdwellers was so BAD, how could i not mention it too!

Yeah, this was a great episode and if The Batman did some episodes like this without putting the Joker in half of the season's episodes, this might actually help it improve. But, anyways I almost voted for this one.

Yeah, they did a great job improving Mad Hatter, I remember his hat with the popping out hypnotizing eyeballs on my dad's old 60's Batman tapes and thought Oh My Gosh:sweat: Yeah, the Walrus and the big headed plumber/carpenter was kinda weird too.

I think it's a bit overrated but like it better than for the man who has everything. *Breathes fire*:D

Yep, terrific episode, and my vote. I'm surprised some other people besides me voted for it, I used to think I was the only one who liked this episode:sweat:

Yeah, this episode is good, but I think it's a bit overrated as well.

Hey, this one isn't that bad.

Wow, this was a tough one. LOTS of great episodes on the list, but i had to go w/ "Beware the Grey Ghost".
It was between that and "Mad as a Hatter", which i LOVE, but the Grey Ghost was just such a one-of-a-kind episode, it really stands out as one of the best of the series, and definately on i under-apprieciated in my younger days.
"Dreams in Darkness" and "Night of the Ninja" were two of my other favorites on that list. Peace.

Although I'm not surprised to see it winning-- it's what I voted for-- I AM surprised to see Perchance to Dream leading by a decently large margin, especially considering the amount of flak it's been getting lately.
I'm even more surprised to see so few votes for Mad as a Hatter and Night of the Ninja, two personal favorites. Oh, well. With only one or two exceptions, almost anything on this poll could win and I wouldn't be disappointed. Lots of classics to choose from here.
