Patient Porky Uncut!!!!

CN is now currently re-running PATIENT PORKY on June Bugs - but here's the catch - it's in B&W and it had the ROCHESTER scenes left in!!! This is too good for words.

I just re-checked CN's schedule and it says that the cartoon was supposed to air in B&W when it was repeated. It also says that PORKY PIG'S FEAT and PORKY'S HARE HUNT will both air in B&W, too when it's repeated tonight. Now if only they would re-show TORTOISE WINS BY A HARE, HARE RIBBIN', SOUTHERN FRIED RABBIT, and BALLOT BOX BUNNY late at night, too, maybe we would see them uncut.

You beat me to posting the good news!:D This was great, the only other place I've seen it uncut is on the Bob Clampett show. Now, hopefully no one will complain (I really doubt that anyone would) and CN will try to pull off more un-PC stuff in the future. This was relatively high profile (for 2:40 AM anyways), so if no one complains it will set a good example. It was nice of CN to throw us a bone after the banning of those 11. And now BW Porky's Hare Hunt and Porky Pig's Feat! Too bad it seems like there's no room for unedited versions of other, usually edited toons.

Yeah right. I highly doubt it. As for tonight's showing, i don't think anyone tried to pull a fast one by slipping a non-CENSORED cartoon in. I don't think anyone thought - hmmm, let's give them a gift. I think it's possible it was even a mistake.

It's just a shame that this art is censored.

CN actually did it on purpose (IMO) they have said they want to show more censored things, they even wanted to show the 11 cut Bugs cartoons.

Besides, I don't think CN owns an edited B&W print of that cartoon, I've only seen the edit in the colorized versions.

CN ran the edited "Patient Porky" (once during the summer, last year) on LNB&W. I remember it.

They've also run the unedited version on LNB&W, I have it on tape, but I guess if they've run the edited version before, then CN really did do us a bit of a favor last night.
