Isn't that the same as five years ago? Except John instead of Kyle.

^ Yeah pretty much they did add the characters Faith and this Indian guy for a little while but in the current story arc that's the line up though most likely Green Lantern will be Hal instead of John very soon.

So what would a better line-up be? These guys are DC's best, but aren't making want to pick up the book. Any fantasy/realistic line-ups in anyones minds?

It all depends on Infinite Crisis.

As a sidenote, I think this year will see a shakeup of all the teams. Teen Titans might add a resurrected Donna Troy, Batman could lead the Outsiders (knocking out Nightwing, since things just keep getting bad for him), the Justice League could go through their occassional revamp (or stay the same to combat The New Avengers) I'm betting with the swap of Hal Jordan for John Stewart, and potentially the addition of some wildcards like Adam Strange, Nightwing, the new Firestorm, or a revised Static Shock, JSA will still exist (given that they just announced JSA: Classified)...

I seriously believe they are leading to a major fallout of Batman leaving the Justice League.

He ran the old iteration of The Outsiders, and currently funds the current Outsiders... AND Arsenal believed he was getting his information from Batman since the creation of the team.
He used to run the Justice League before Maxwell Lord swooped it out from him. Given the status of Countdown, Batman may be incredibly angry to find out that his successor was... well... intentionally running it into the ground.
Green Arrow #50 features guest stars of Batman and, presumably seperately, The Outsiders.
The big Outsiders/Teen Titans crossover "The Insiders" could definitely be a setup for this.
The OMAC Project. Batman's greatest weapon becomes the DCU's greatest threat. Much like "Tower Of Babel", Batman could be kicked off the league via accidentally becoming a threat.

Ok now I'm thrown for a loop. Static is officially showing up in DC comics??!?! when did this happen.

Either way, if changes are to be made, I don't think Batman will be seen leading the league. They need him too much to oust him AGAIN. As far as The Lantern situation, Jon is Fine where he is on the league. It's all nice and dandy that Hal is back and all, but just because he comes back, doesn't mean we start throwing someone else away. The Green Lantern book can just feature hal as the star, and the JLA will be exclusively to John. This way, the issue of multiple earth bound GLs are addressed without having to guest star anyone in a book.

'Cause da league gonna go "Tower of Babel" on his butt ya dig homes?See, I see it going down the other way around. I can imagine that Batman's been planning something for a while, and he's going to be putting the Identity Crisis-League in their place.

I'd love to see Batman take them out a la Deathstroke only to be interrupted by Superman and some of the other "core" Leaguers showing up (WW, Flash, etc.) When Supes trys to talk reason Bats cold ***** him with some Kyptonite brass knuckles and goes off on him for turning the other way. Then he walks out saying, "I Quit."

Because let's be honest, there's going to be a reckoning. And I really can't see Batman trusting the league again after they basically mind-raped him and covered it up.

A consistant, good creative team. I'm sick of all this rotational stuff, and since none of the teams sounded good enough for their six-issue run, either from a writing or artistic standpoint (or sometimes both), I haven't felt an urge at all to buy this book in...I dunno, four, four and a half years.

Ok now I'm thrown for a loop. Static is officially showing up in DC comics??!?! when did this happen. No, but DC owns the brand, and could easily do it. Mr. Majestic was brought to the DCU via a "wild storm"...

And, well, to be blunt, without John Stewart on the JLA, and to avoid being a certain kind of club, Static Shock or Firestrom could fill a void.
