This is the official discussion thread involving link submission to the Toon Zone Links Page. If you are going to submit your website to the database, please read these rules first:

1.- Categories: Given the fact that this is Toon Zone, most of the sites listed in this directory are websites dedicated to cartoons. If your website fits that description, it’s highly unlikely that you won’t find a category that suits your website. Just browse the site and find the one that fits your site better.

2.- Toonami/Anime/Adult Swim: Toonami and Adult Swim override Anime. That is, if your site is dedicated to an anime that airs exclusively on Toonami, submit it on the Toonami category. Same goes for Adult Swim. The reason for this is because there are thousands among thousands of anime titles out there, but the Toonami and AS shows are limited, and they’re known mostly for airing on those blocks in the US.

3.- Fan Art and Fan Fiction: If your website is mainly dedicated to a cartoon and has a small section dedicated to fan art and/or fan fiction, then submit in its corresponding cartoon category. If the site is dedicated entirely to fan art or fan fiction, submit it to either the “Fan Art” or “Fan Fiction” categorier.

4.- Non-Cartoon Sites: This is mainly what the “Entertainment” and “Other” categories are for. We usually cover the stuff that is closely related to cartoons, such as Television, Music, Video Games, etc.

5.- Adult Content: Nothing “adults only” kind of content is allowed. This includes nudity, hentai anime, obscene websites, and sites that use extremely vulgar language. Don’t even bother submitting those, they won’t be added. This doesn’t mean that more mature cartoons like South Park will not be added. South Park is allowed to be discussed at the TZ Forums. Hentai is not, unless it’s a small mention that doesn’t cover the overall topic. For this reason, South Park sites are allowed, and for that matter, anime sites that have reviews of lots of titles and a couple of them happen to be Hentai, the site will perhaps be added as long as it doesn’t show any kind of images or links to sites which include images. 100%-Hentai is, however, NOT ALLOWED.

6.- Downloading Copyrighted Stuff: This is not allowed either. Some companies do what fans call “seek and destroy” websites that have copyrighted stuff for download. Since we don’t want TZ to be considered part of this, sites that feature copyrighted downloads are not allowed.

7.- Other Forums: Toon Zone, as a big community, should encourage smaller ones to be acknowleged. However, if you submit your forum, make sure it's well moderated, easy to navigate, and that it fits all previous rules mentioned here. Anyone can get a forum at ProBoards, and it's easy to tell if it's run by 6-year-olds. However, if your forum is part of an actual website, submit the website, not the forum.

8.- Petitions: If it is a well-organized website, then yes. If it is nothing but a petition at PetitionOnline.com, then no.

9.- Blogs: No. At least we're not letting these right now, mainly because they hardly fit into any category. Feel free to promote them through your TZ signature, though.

10.- Auctions: It depends. If you run a well-organized website dedicated entirely to sell stuff online, then submit it to the "Shopping" category. If the website is dedicated to an specific cartoon and has a merchandise section, submit it to the category the cartoon belongs to. However, things like EBay Auctions are not allowed at all. Those aren't websites.

I order to submit a website, go here: http://www.toonzone.net/links/ and click on "Add a Link".

Do not submit any websites on this thread because it will still be considered Spam. If you have any doubts, suggestions or comments, make them on this thread or contact either Dr. Octopus (http://forums.toonzone.net/member.php?u=411) or myself (http://forums.toonzone.net/member.php?u=5098), the people in charge of the Links right now.

The links page is now back online, however, and due to circunstances beyond my control, a few links were lost. You can go to the page and submit your website.

UPDATE:

The Links Page was down for a long while due to it being spammed heavily by various spambots. Because of this, it was impossible to keep track of everything.

However, a new software has been included for easier editing of the page, so the submission form now includes an image verification system to prevent spambots. If you submitted your page during the past couple of years it's likely your link got lost during the purge of spam, so feel free to submit it again in case it's not on the page.

You can also submit various links, and if you want to keep track of your submissions, you have to create an account. The account is NOT the same as your Forums account, you have to create a new one.

Any comments and suggestions are welcome.

Hi, i have a question about a type of website id like to submit.
its a site dedicated to animation art collectors. myself i dont own the site, i just have an account there that i display my art that i myself own. they have a bit of nudity here and there (most people say they have nudity if they do on their personal sites) but NO porn whatsoever (the mods say on the terms of use page that that stuff's not allowed).
its just a site where the people who love the art of animation go to show their stuff. i love it, its very well done and its not an auction site (they say on the first page that youre not allowed to sell stuff from your site). there is a small classified section where you can sell some of your pieces but none of the profits go to the owners of the site.
may i submit the site for the links page?
and if its okay, what do i classify it under ("Toonami/anime/adult swim" or "other Forums"?)?
thanks! :)

If in doubt, just submit the site to the category you feel proper and I'll check it from there.
