Wow. 3D Cel CG, or 2D Digicel?

the movie was that popular??
Sweet. If its gonna be 2-d, I'd want Production IG or maybe Gonzo(for eyecandy) PIG does an awesome job with GiTS:SAC, so another Shirow work for them would be sweet. Who did the recent movie, anyway?

Wow, this is surprising news. I've read the first volume of the manga, and I can't really say it's great, but it's not bad either. It's okay, IMO. I think it's better animated.
For the anime, I'd prefer it be done regularly, not in 3D Cel CG. Characters looks weird in 3D, IMO. I'm not saying it's bad(I think it's okay for it to be used in some parts of shows, like Duel Masters), I'd just prefer it in 2D, and by Production IG.

Shinji Aramaki did the recent movie version.
John Woo? Has the man have enough projects in his hands, like Metroid? What happen to his pet project, that is doing a musical?

I only mention it because the recently released Appleseed flick was done in 3D cel cg (Japan's first full 3D theatrical,) and I'd imagine that if it were cost effective, they'd do the TV series the same way. The trailer for that film did a very good job with their cel shading, so if the TV series maintained the quality, I think it'd be a non-issue.

Yeah, I know that. I just think it would look and be better in regular style.

Since it was straight 3D, a bunch of studios collaborated on it:

There is no info listed on MOON PHASE as to whether it will be 3d-cell or 2d.
The name, producer, and a year is literally all the info there is right now.

link would be nice, bro.
Ok, seems like it was one of the announcements of the Tokyo Anime fair, where they also mentioned a sequal to the movie.

There is no official page yet, and MOON PHASE has links to not just anime series, but upcoming H OVAs as well.
I believe that would be against the rules.
Just Google Moon Phase CC and then click the middle link on the top right to go to the anime page.
it should be near the bottom of the TV series section.
I could just post the whole line of info...

I know very little of it. My Japanese courses haven't covered kana yet.
I just used an online translator for this info. <_<

Wow, John Woo is seriously getting into the anime. OTOH, I'm sure their is very little resistance on the studio side: a lot of people in the anime industry would probably love of have him work on a property is some capacity.

John Woo's name gets attached to all sorts of projects that he never does anything with, including the Transformers movie.
