I don't know about you guys, but ever since the New York Times posted an article concerning this sequel, I was excited! This movie is the whole reason I got back into liking Disney.
Well, still not much is known other than that Jeremy Suarez, Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas will be reprising their roles (obviously).
It has now been revealed according to this 2/17 little tidbit of news that Mark Mancina is working on the BB2 soundtrack.

And Phil Collins, in addition to already working on Tarzan 2, will be providing a couple of new songs for this as well.
Word on the street is that Rutt & Tuke will be the center of this new sequel, which I don't mind because they didn't get enough screen time in the first movie. But the off the wall rumor that has circulated among Jim Hill and Animated News is that this MIGHT be in 3-D. Gag me. But I find this rumor to be false..for now.
Oh and in addition, Disney is planning a TV series for this, and this is also about to start production soon. I hope they somehow incorporate Kenai and pals in adventures outside of the forest somehow (ala the Timon & Pumbaa show), because post Ice Age times sure would be boring.
